Welcome to Lanzhou, a capital city of Gansu, is also referred to Gold City. My name is Lixiao, you also call me xiaoxiao, which sounds more kind and friendly . I‟m pleased to be your guide . An old Chinese saying goes like this: friends should come from afar, isn‟t this delightful ? So I‟m very delighted to have this chance to serve you , to show you the most beautiful of Lanzhou , to feed you the most delicious local food , to introduce to you the most precious local specializes . In one word , I will try my best to help you have a happy and gainful tour here .
Now , you must want to know some general into about this city . Lanzhou is a capital city of Gansu ,Which is one of the birthplaces of Chinese nation, as well as one of cradles of cultural ancient , civilization.So, the richness of cultural heritage also enable Lanzhou to enjoy its uncommon tourist resources, and it played a great role in the economic and cultural central. The long history of Gansu Province witnessed the evolution of the Ancestral Culture , the Yellow River Culture and the Silk Road Culture etc.
As the cultural and economic central of Gansu Province , Lanzhou is situated on the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, which is the second longest river in china , in the northwest of china . The city proper , with the Yellow River going through,is
sandwiched by
mountains on the northern and southern banks. The Yellow River is surprisingly beautiful with a length of 5464. Due to its long history and special geological position, Lanzhou is endowed with many tourist attraction.
We should not avoid mentioning its local snacks. Surely you must have known Lanzhou breef noodle enjoys a wide popularity in china . Beside , Tian Peizi---sweet is another snack in Lanzhou , you can also enjoy Shish Kebab , Red Pea gruel and hot Pear Dongguo. I‟m sure that all these local snacks will enable your staying here more attractive.
Later we‟ll travel along the bank of the Yellow River which is also known as “100—Li Scenic Zone along the Yellow River ” , which is one of the first tour line was made in our Gold City ---Lanzhou , embraces five scenic spots , namely Lanzhou Water Wheel , statue of Yellow River …s mother , White Pagoda Park and Zhongshan Bridge which is referred to as First Bridge on the Yellow River .Besides , what we have visited there are many other attractive sites with Lanzhou such as Xinlong Mountain , the Wuquan Park ---- Five Spring Park . I‟ll explain to you the details during our tour laters.
