Writing is one of the best way to examine the “out-put” of english learning. It is right time for me to write something everyweek. I am not good at grammer, so write it down and I can review them later.You cant please everyone. Whatever you do, or whatever you don’t do, there always are criticism.But what is right? What is wrong? It is a universal question. Most china parents always say “Be good children and listen to parents at home and teachers at school”, while west parents would prefer to say “Follow your heart”; To me, I believe in what Socrate once said: a life without self-examination is not worth living, and I also believe in what Deng Xiaoping, the Father of China reforms,”Practice is the sole criteria for testing truth”.Firstly, let’s make clear defination for right.If something is right, it is correct and agrees with the facts. That is, the facts is the basic and essential for evaluation. We cant make right judgement without correct evidences, proofs, and factors. Science is logical right and always can be tested by all kind of pratices and conditions and environment. But sometimes even science can be outdated too, let alone something like experiences, especially successful experiences. Moreover, there’s lots things like economic and society, politics and culture, are totally different from science. They are always hard to find evidence or proof or factors, and can’t be tested. Sometimes they are right, sometimes not; Somewhere they are right, somewhere they are not; For some people, they are right, for other people it might be not; We all are so easy to be deceived by the people’s appearance, we incline to believe the more successful person, or the person who have super position than us. We incline to take their words as criteria without deep examination. However, the truth is that someone’s successful story may be poisonous for you. Everyone is unique, it is ridiculous for a fish to fly like a bird, or a bird to swim like a fish. You can be a best and happy Xiamen fish, or a failed and sad bird-like fish.So, personally speaking, there’s no particullary right or wrong for anyone. Just like that you can’t please all people, you can’t be anyone, but yourself. Follow your own heart, follow the voice of conscience, do what you like and move on. Like the saying goes, “Go on your own way, and let others to say.”Being yourself. Remember, we are living for others’ opinion, we are the sole actor of our life, we build our future by our hand. It’s you, not other to lead your life. You are the only master of your fate, your destiny, your soul. Don’t let others make decision for you, whether it is right or wrong, you need to try, and test them. No one can take place of you. It is you, only you can decide whether the shoes are suitable or not.Secondly, never be judgemental.Life is not science. There’s no facts or proofs to back your judgement, and we are so easy to be deceived. China old quote says “Even a upright clever offical find it is hard to settle family’s quarral”. It is better for us to show respects to everyone, to their thoughts, their beliefs, their living ways, ect. We chinese all believe in ancient Confucious ideas for harmony society, “find commond ground and keep the difference”, that is why after 5000 years, China is still a big and united nation with 56 nationalities, all people with different colors, different beliefs, different cultures, different tradtions live together peacefully. I also remember that the America most succeful foreign affair experts, one of the founder of USA, Frankerlin, he worked so well with all countries over the world with all kinds of people. The only secret is Repect, repect, repect. He never quarraled, but seeked understanding and communication.So, personally speaking, the only right thing is to respect and understanding, not rush to judgment. To make a better relation with others, with family, with society, we need to be open. Be open to realize that different people makes the world colorful. Well, I don’t mean to accept all kinds of evil and savage things. We shall fight back merciless to defend the kind. But they are different topics.Finally, being yourself wisely, try moreIt is right to being yourself. Easy to say than do. How to make wise choices or decisions? There’s no particular secrets for all people. Because everyone is unique, unique in the environment, backgroud, culture, and personal gifts. If you are a bird, fly. If you are a man, try. Try to find the one you love most and deeply, which deserve your burning desire, and try hard, try really hard, try once more when you are feeling down. Never care too much about what others talking about you, shut the door and leave them behind. Be acceptable to yourself, and believe that everything your try will be paid. We need to have faith that the difficulty is not the stone stopping you from success, it is the stepping stone for you to get higher. Keep postive attitude and try more, good things will always happen, sooner or later.So, who laugh the last, laugh the best. Cheer yourself up, you are the unique and you are born to win.
