The painting is a half-length portrait and depicts a woman whose facial expression is often described as enigmatic. As shown in the picture, we can see that the eleglant woman sits quietly and her smile is mysterious. To our surprise, wherever we watch the paintint, the woman is always smiling.

I love this painting because not only it is one of the most important paintings ever created, but also the painting reflects the humanism. Humanism is a big progress at that time. Da Vinci put emphasis on the corner of the woman's lips and other subtle expressions, which makes the painting more mysterious.
