世界上的趣闻趣事英文作文

When it comes to interesting and fun facts from around the world, there are so many to choose from! One of my favorite fun facts is about the town of Longyearbyen in Norway. This town is located in the Arctic Circle and is known for its unique law which states that no one is allowed to die there. This may sound strange, but it's actually true! The reason behind this law is that the permafrost in the area is so cold that it prevents bodies from decomposing, which means that diseases can still spread. So, if someone is terminally ill, they are flown to the mainland to spend their final days. I find this fact both fascinating and a little bit eerie.
Another fun fact that I find intriguing is about the country of Bhutan. In Bhutan, they have a measurement of national success called Gross National Happiness. This is used as an alternative to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to
measure the country's progress. The concept of Gross National Happiness focuses on sustainable development, preservation and promotion of cultural values, conservation of the natural environment, and establishment of good governance. I think it's really interesting how Bhutan prioritizes the happiness and well-being of its citizens over economic growth.
