2009年BEC商务英语考试口语备考重点众所周知,口语是BEC四个单元中挑战性较大的一部分,并且口语考试的难度随着等级的提高而加大。

BEC口语考试分为三部分。

第一部分是考生与考官的交流,着重于个人情况,学习工作,兴趣爱好。

这一部分必须充分准备,但难度不会超过普通的工作面试,且一般不会涉及商务知识。

主要的难点在于第二、第三部分。

第二部分让考生就某一商务主题发表一分钟的演讲,而第三部分中,两位考生就某个商务主题进行讨论。

这两个部分要求较高,而准备时间仅为一分钟。

针对这种情况,必须从下列方面准备。

BEC作为商务英语考试,要求具备一定的商务背景知识,不要求很精深,但一定要有个大致的了解。

因为广大BEC考生普遍英语基础较好(指语法,语音,基本词汇的运用),但对商务词汇与概念深感隔行如隔山,第一重点就是商务词汇的扩展。

当然词汇的问题决不是简单的死背词汇表,这种方法不会导致对词汇的深刻理解,灵活运用必然也大打折扣。

比较好的方法是在读解分析范文时,注意商务词汇在文中的运用,把好的词汇结合句子一道背诵,然后在自己练习时有意地使用,才能学以致用。

总之,词汇量的多少决定着英语水平高低。

这就像一两滴水对环境没有什么影响,但当千千万万滴水形成湖、汇成海后就足以影响气候一样。

第二重点是针对BEC口语出题范围。

将其细分为多个出题领域:职业发展,人事,营销,商务交流,信息管理,物流,金融,公司发展,项目管理,质量控制,竞争,健康安全,战略策划,生产管理,国际商务,交通,商业文化与伦理等,各个击破。

对于每个领域内的经典题型,必须对大量范文作详细分析,总结最常用的话题与理由,体会不同场合变换说法的重要性,克服考生中普遍的理解考题却无话可说的尴尬。

第三,要注重积累商务案例。

对于任一题目,光说一大堆理由,是很难得高分的,即使理由本身非常正确。

关键在于必须有活生生的例子说明问题。

这一点上,临时抱佛脚是没有用的,务必要*平时注意收集并在会话中运用恰当的例子。

第四点是要透过经典题型例解的现象看本质。

学会运用会话模式,如开题—质询—观点—扩展型对话,并掌握有效的相关口语技巧,如Echo, Objection, Proposition, Development, Hypothesis, Definition, Interrogation, Repetition等。

这样,对于会话的总体框架与结构在心中有了一个蓝图以后,才能把注意力放在内容上。

第五,对于如何使口语更自然更地道的一些语言点,也必须有所涉及。

语言的丰富化与口语化不是一日之功,但也要总结规律。

比如,用一些语气词如well,right?等和反义疑问句可以使语言较为自然。

一些口语化的词组如icing on the cake ,sell like hotcakes,ballyhoo,shelf sitter等也可以给会话增色。

当然粗俗的俚语在商务会话中是不允许的。

另外,书面用语如nevertheless,furthermore, in addition, utmost 等非但不会让考官欣赏,反而显得做作,不自然。

正所谓‘过犹不及’。

要做到恰到好处,必须对词汇和短语的色彩有精确体会。

必须指出的是,口语化不等于散漫化。

BEC口语的目的还是为商务主题服务的,所以决不能沦为聊天式的极其随便的对话。

关键在于应做到‘casual without losing focus’,即‘外松内紧’。

最后,如果没有大量的练习,以上的要点只会是空谈而已。

BEC口语考试决不能临阵磨枪,口语是在平时的反复练习中逐渐提高的,想口语考试取得好成绩的话,考前必须找一个同伴,一同练习口语。

这样可以互相指出缺点,共同提高,事半功倍。

在同伴面前试讲,也能克服心理紧张,提高考试时的自信。

练习时,必须把流利度放在语法之上,不要因为有语法错误而不敢讲。

对于口语来说,流畅地传达想法是第一位的。

语法或句型的不足可在实践中逐渐纠正。

另外,考试时不能过分依赖同伴,每个考生必须有主动性和独立性。

有时,同伴的提示和帮助是有用的,但每个人都应在谈话中力争占主导地位,迅速积极地回答问题2009年BEC商务英语考试听力应试技巧Part 1 (Questions 1-12)第一部分大多情况下是电话对话。

答题纸上分为3个部分,以表格、发票、日程安排、留言条等形式出现,每部分有4个空格,要求考生听录音填空(听两遍)。

考生拿到试卷后应抓紧时间将题目看一遍,根据文字信息,揣测填充题中可能要填什么词。

一般来说,这部分要填的内容是:公司名称、人名、号码(电话号码、定单号码等)、日期等,这一题主要是考考生的辨别词汇的能力。

在听第一遍时,考生要尽可能的记下有关的名称、地点、号码等内容,听第二遍时检查所填内容,填上漏掉的内容。

该部分的电话对话内容一般是:客户抱怨、道歉、询价、订座、订货、安排、计划等。

Part 2 (Questions 13-22)该部分分为两个部分,一般为两段独白。

考生必须抓紧时间弄懂供选择的单词的意思。

这些单词一般是有关职业、身份的,如:hotel manager, salesman, technician, travel agent, engineer, cook, tourist guide, money changer等;另外,这部分单词也可以表示功能、行为等,如:refusing, agreeing, making excuses, boring work, an uncomfortable office, low pay, to order a meal, to book a room 等,所以,考生在听录音前,先快速阅读供选择的单词的意思,然后,在听录音时要特别抓住keywords,辩明独白所要表白的主要意思,再作出选择。

需要当心的是:有些单词听上去似乎是答案,但别忙着确定,一定要等听完该段独白的全部录音才能最后定答案。

Part 3 (Questions 23-30)该部分通常是两个人或更多人之间的对话,如:开会讨论、面试、一般业务会谈等;另外也可能不是对话,而是独白,如:业务报告、产品演示会的讲话,工作汇报等。

考生做这一题时首先仍然是先快速阅读选择题,从而了解录音中对话或独白的背景、大意,以便听录音时有一个大致的方向。

考生听录音时要认真将主要内容抓住,决不能因为某一个问题没听懂就停下来,听录音的过程中可以针对每一个问题做些快速记录,记下录音中人的身份、讨论的问题,以及不同的观点;如果是独白,对独白的主题,涉及到的人或物等则要尽可能弄清楚。

SPEAKINGBEC 2 口语考试总时间约为14分钟(一组两个考生)。

Part 1这部分是主考官与考生的对话,考官问的问题一般有:姓名、职业、所学专业,对所从事的工作或所学专业是否喜欢,为什么喜欢或不喜欢等等。

另外,考官会就某一方面问考生,如有关就业就可能问:What would your ideal job be? Doyou think all companies ought to provide training opportunities for staff? Is the opportunity to work abroad important to you? 等等。

当主考官在与一考生对话时,另一考生必须仔细听,因为主考官问了考生甲Do you think all companies ought to provide training opportunities for staff? 后,可能会问考生乙What do you think of it?如果考生乙没有仔细听,就要对考官说Sorry或Please pardon 这样会影响口试效果。

口试第一部分考试时间约为4分钟。

Part 2这一部分要求考生就某一主题进行阐述。

考生就信息卡上的问题回答。

如:What is important when …? Opening a branch in a new cityThe locationThe potential purchasing power阐述完了之后,考官司就所阐述的内容提问。

只要考生能对信息卡的内容有所了解,一般可以较好地回答问题2009年BEC商务英语考试写作应试技巧商务英语BEC考试的写作分为两个部分:Part 1这部分要求考生写40-50词的短信息,会考到的文体有通知、留言、备忘录、电子邮件等。

如:You are the General Manager of a large computer company. Next week you are going to Shanghai to discuss an important contract. Write a note to your secretary: Saying when you want to leave and return; Asking her to book flights; Telling her to which hotel to book a room. Write 40-50 words.写作时,考生首先要明白题目赋予写作者的身份,然后确定短文中必须包含的题目指定的要求;最后考虑语言是否流畅,是否有语法错误、拼写错误等。

Part 2这部分要求考生写120-140词的商务信、报告、建议书等。

考生要熟悉有关抱怨、道歉、解释、询盘等商务信件的写法;写信时要注意信的格式,适当地分段会使得看时感觉更好。

一般一个主题成一段。

此外,还应该熟悉非正式的商务短报告写法,商务报告中一般要包括信息(findings/information)、结论(conclusions)、建议(suggestions/recommendation)等内容。

文章的词数最好按要求在120-140之间,稍微多几个或少几个影响不大。

市场上卖的BEC参考书大多质量不好。

依我看来,经济科学出版社的最好,一本课本,一本参考书,再加一本人民邮电出版社的模拟题就可以了。

我看过复旦出过的书,不如经济科学出版社的好。

石油出版社的劝你们不要做,题太简单不说,题型与实际的题型出入很大。
