什么是英语应用能力AB级考试
全国高等学校英语应用能力考试 （PRETCO）简称英语应用能力考试,分 为AB两个级别。B级为高职高专学生应 达到的最低标准要求，B级标准略低于 A级，是过渡性要求。AB级的能力要求 相当于大学英语三级水平，考试一般在 每年上半年6月、下半年12月各举行一 次

关于2010年6月英语等级考试报名的通知各有关系、有关同学：根据《浙江省教育考试院关于做好2010年6月大学外语等级考试报名工作的通知》精神，2010年春季高等学校英语应用能力A、B级考试及大学英语三、四、六级考试于6月19-20日举行，为确保考试顺利实施，现就做好我校上述考试的报名工作及相关事项通知如下：一、报名条件：1、所有在校学生2、每位学生只能在PRETCO-A、B、CET-3、4、6中选报一项，不得兼报。

六、缴费方式：报名结束后，教务处打印出同学的报名表发到各系，各班负责人请于4月7日到各系秘书处领取报名表，各班按名单收齐报名费于4月7日、8日、9日三天每天8：30-15：30前到教务处（行政楼211室）审核签字后，统一到计财处出纳室（行政楼225室）缴费，并将各班的交费发票及报名名单一并交回教务处（行政楼211室）。

英语ab级考试技巧小技巧：一开始发放试卷后快速读懂问题和浏览一下每一题的的答案，推测着一道听力小题目可能会说些什么，答案又可能是哪个。
这样可以避免陷入这道题答案跟丢。

短文翻译：短文翻译注重于对英译中的熟悉程度。
小技巧：关于短文翻译，每句话都要翻译出来，碰到不会的单词可以用基础单词组合表达，关于自己不熟悉的高级词组和单词尽量不要用，用相对简单的单词代替，没必要因为用法错误而导致失分，得不偿失。
作文题：作文题更在于平常的积存，因为写作文会用到大量的单词以及固定短语，这必须要我们在平常学习的过程中就注意积存作文常用表达的收藏与运用。
小技巧：在考试时我们可以直接把平常背下来的模板搬过来使用，会节省很多时间也会让自己的作文看起来更加连贯出色。

高等学校英语应用能力考试B级考题详析听力部分一、“高等学校英语应用能力考试”是学生修完《高职高专英语课程教学基本要求》所规定的内容后,参加的考试。

1.考试简介
高等学校英语应用能力考试(简称PRETCO)是由教育部批准成立的高等学校英语应用能力考试委员会设计、供高职院校和成人高专院校学生自愿参加的标准化考试。
本门考试主要考核考生实际应用英语进行日常和业务涉外交际的能力，同时为用人单位提供对高职高专毕业生英语水平的评价标准，以提高其进入人才市场的竞争力。
2.考试级别
高等学校英语应用能力考试分A、B两级。
A级考试为高职高专学生应该达到的标准要求，英语B级考试略低于A级考试，是过渡性的要求。
原“大学英语三级考试”相当于“高等学校英语应用能力A级考试”，原“大学英语二级考试”相当于“高等学校英语应用能力B级考试”。
