The Unique Coastline and Harbor Resources
PHDDZ lies in the north of Hangzhou Bay and possesses the best coastline and harbor resources in China’s southeast coast. In PHDDZ, there is a coastline of 12.6 km long suited to build up the docks with berthing ships from 30,000-tonnage to 50,000-tonnage. PHDDZ, the deep-water port is the most potential port area of Jiaxing Port. It focuses on transferring bulk cargo, coal and foodstuff, liquid chemical products, grocery and containers. Meanwhile, on its hinterland, PHDDZ is planning to build up logistics area of foodstuff and coal and develop the portoriented industry depending on the port. Through our efforts, PHDDZ will develop into a comprehensive port area that possesses the multifunction of loading & unloading, storage, modern logistics and port-oriented industry etc. in the near future.

With complete infrasturcture and other complete-set facilities, PHDDZ lies in the northeast of Zhejiang Province and borders Shanghai with total planning area of 111.9 square km. It is about one hour's drive to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Suzhou respectively. Therefore, its geographic location is very convenient and unique. PHDDZ is located at the central region of Yangtze River Delta. Within the scope of the radius of 300 km around PHDDZ, there are 10 harbors or ports and 15 large-or mediumsized cities, such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi and Ningbo etc. The GDPof this region accounts for over 20% of that of the whole country, and the goods handling capacity by the above-mentioned harbors and ports occupies 60%

The Brief of Pinghu City
Pinghu city is located at the medium coastal region of the mainland of China, the developed area in economy, the Yangtze River Delta. Pinghu city borders Shanghai in the east, adjacent to Hangzhou in the west, Ningbo in the south and Suzhou in the north. It lies in the northeast of Zhejiang Province, the most developed area in economy, and belongs to the front area of Zhejiang Province developing in line with Shanghai. The land area of Pinghu is about 536.9 square km, sea area 1086 square km, coastline 27 km long, population of 485,000. Pinghu is a region of rice and fish, a place of silk in history and enjoys the reputation of “Golden Pinghu”. Pinghu is one of the opening-up cities in China’s eastern coastal area approved by the State Council. And with its developed foreignoriented economy, it is listed as one of the top 10 counties (or countylevel cities) for utilizing foreign investment and export in Zhejiang province and one of the top 100 counties (or county-level cities) among China in the aspect of social economy and comprehensive strength.
