文中要讲的是北宋出现了中国历史上第一枚商标，这是经济发展的标志之一，算是“成就”，同时此商标设计上又体现了浓郁的中国传统文化特色（玉兔捣药），因此自然会被写入爱国读本让大家了解。
第二步，理解基础上做出一个译文。
首先想到的就是reading materials for patriotic education. 后来觉得这里专门用patriotic education中国味太重（总强调爱国主义教育），就考虑改成reading materials for patriotism.根据：Patriotic - feeling, expressing, or inspired by love for one's country.Patriotism denotes positive and supportive attitudes to a 'fatherland' (Latin patria < Greek patrida, πατρίδα), by individuals and groups. The 'fatherland' (or 'motherland') can be a region or a city, but patriotism usually applies to a nation and/or anation-state. Patriotism covers such attitudes as: pride in its achievements and culture, the desire to preserve its character and the basis of the culture, and identification with other members of the nation.</patriotism>.从上面的解释还可以看出patriotism并不和“爱国主义”完全划等号，因为patriotism is not necessarily an ism or a doctrine.“主义”缩小了词义，而这个词本来可以指爱国态度、情感等等，甚至爱的不一定非得是“国”，只是usually表示爱国。
第三步，验证英文说法。
（一般是输进Google看有没有/有多少类似用法，主要看外网）。
结果：(发现问题)“Reading materials”和“patriotic education/patriotism”分开的有，但很少见讲英语国家的网站上有合在一起这样用的。
说明仍然比较Chinglish.至此在这个问题上脑袋开始打结，再继续找到更好译法的可能性不大，于是标出来放在一边，改天再回过头想。
