2. 语法（Grammar）：非谓语动词中的现在分词和动名词的运用。如：

Feeling awful, she walked home carrying her school bag full of homework. Arriving home, she started with math.

Feeling better,she decided not to worry about math for the time being.

The next day, Jenna went to see Mrs. Biden about being on the school newspap er.

Later in math class, Jenna devoted herself to figuring out the problems that had given her so much trouble.

语言技能（Skills）

1. 能在课堂内掌握做英语完形填空的相关技巧。

1. 引导学生在理解文章的基础上明白：Challenges are always around us at any t ime. Some people are beaten down by them while others are brave enough to fac e the challenges. What attitude you will take when facing challenges is very imp ortant. So everyone should learn to be optimistic and take a positive attitude towa rds challenges as well as your life.

二、具体教学步骤（Teaching procedure）

1. Pre-class stage

(Two days before the class) Give the materials to the students and assign the pre view tasks to them.

2) Check the answer by themselves and write down the numbers of the exercises which they have done wrong in the form below for the convenience of statistics.

3) Put the correct answer back to the blanks and read the text for at least 3 time s.
