(人教PEP)四年级英语下册说课稿

Unit 4 It’s Warm Today.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My teaching content is “Unit 4 It’s Warm Today.”in Book 4. Now I’d like to analyze my ideas in the following four steps.

一、Step 1: Talking about the teaching material:

(一)First, Let’ s talk about the Status of the teaching material.

All the students have known the weather report. In this lesson they can learn how to make the weather report and talk about the weather in English. Such as “Good morning, this is the weather report. I t’s warm in Beijing. It’s cool in L h asa.” This activity can train the students’ ability of using English. Moreover, the students can say “What’s the weather like in …?” that foreshadows the new sentence’ learning of this lesson.(二)And then I will talk about the Teaching aims which includes four parts.

First, the Basic knowledge learning aim: Get the students to master the five words: weather, warm, cool, cold, hot. And use the sentence patterns “It’s warm in ….”.

Second, the Developing ability aim: Improve the students’ oral English. Develop their communicative ability.

Third, the Emotion aim: Develop the students’ enthusiastic attitude towards English learning.

Forth, the Culture aim: Know the weather information of every place in our country. Encourage the students to love the country.

(三)After that, Let’ s talk about the key points and difficult points.

According to the teaching content and teaching aims, I take these two points as the key points and difficult points:

a. One is to enable the students to listen, speak, and read the five new words.

b. The other is to get them to use the language in real life.

二、That’s all for step one. Now, let’s go to step 2:

Talk about the teaching methods.

It’s generally believed that if we want to achieve a goal and develop the students’ ability of usi ng English. We should arouse the students’ desire to learn and to take part in activities warmly. Such kind of learning motivation comes from two aspects:

1. One is that they are interested in the learning content.

2. The other is that they are confident.

So, I use the following five teaching methods:

No.1: Create real situations: I design the situation of getting preparation for going to

the Hope School in some poor places.

No.2: Use the communication method: In the activities, I lead the students to communicate with each other and use English as much as possible.

No.3: Use the task-based teaching method: I organize the students to find the weather information on the internet.

No.4: Create a perfect assessment system: I evaluate the students from every aspect in order to arouse their interest.

No.5: Conform the multi-media: The whole teaching procedure is conformed with the multi-media.

三、Now, Let’s go to the next step: Step 3: talking about the learning methods:

The main teaching purpose is not the accumulation of the knowledge but the development of thinking. In order to have the students cultivate good studying habits and form the effective study tactics, I guide them to use the following learning methods:

First, the students are grouped in a round way that suits for communication.

Second, they master the language through careful observation and imitation.

At last, they learn through their personal experiences.

四、Now, here is the most important step of 4:

Talk about the teaching procedure. In this section, it includes five aspects.

(一)The first aspect is preparation.

Before the Lesson, I tell the students that we will go to visit the children of Hope Schools in some poor places, such as Lhasa, Changning, Duolun, and Hechi. Organize the Students to look for the weather information and make some pictures.

(二)The second aspect is Warming up and revision.

1. Let’s sing the song written by myself. The song can enliven the atmosphere of the whole class and draw the students’ attention to the class. We sing and dance“It’s warm today”. We are so happy. Look, I have a blue dress.

2.(Multi-media the pictures of clothes.)I like the blue dress. What do you like? I ask the students. Now, we can go over the old words, such as yellow shirt, green skirt, etc. (三)The third aspect is Presentation.

First, present the words and the sentence patterns:

It’s warm today. Maybe we will have a nice holiday. I tell the students. Let’s watch the weather report.(the multi-media present the report)That situation is so vivid. We can know the theme of this lesson.

And then get the students to learn the new words by using the words software.
