课前准备:

1.The word cards and toys.

2.The tape

教学过程:

Ⅰ. Warm-up/Review

1.Ss enjoy the song: Old MacDonald

2.Do as I do: Say some verbs. Ask Ss to do the actions. E.g. Stand up!

Walk! Run! …/ Shake the hand and say “It’s hot!”/ Pretend

drinking the water and say “Cool!”

Ⅱ. Presentation & Practice

1.Introduce “Cool!”

a.Invite a S to the front and ask the others “Is he cool?”

b.Show them some cartoon characters, et

c. and ask them “Is

he/she cool?” or ask them “Am I cool?”

the word “cool”. Ss repeat.

2.Introduce the words: dog, cat, duck

a.Show them a toy duck and ask “Is this duck cool?” Name the

word “duck”. Ss repeat and then mime the duck.

b.Show Ss a toy cat and say “Look! I have a cat.” Name “cat”. Ss

repeat. Give the command “Act like a cat.” Ss do the action.

Then do the same with the word “dog”.

c.Hold up the word cards one by one and ask “What’s this?” Ss

answer “It’s a ….” Attach the cards on the Bb.

d.Guessing Game: Have Ss listen to the three sounds of the

animals. (Woof! Mew! Quack!) Ss guess the animals and then

make the sound.

3.Learn the words: rabbit, panda, monkey

a.Show Ss the picture of “rabbit” and teach them the word.

b.Game: Put a toy rabbit behind a S’s back. Ask S2 to look for it

while walking around the classroom. The others help S2 to find the rabbit by name the word in lower voice or higher voice.

When S2 is close the rabbit, the Ss name the word “rabbit”

loudly.

c.Show the card “monkey” and name. Ss repeat. Then “Act like a

monkey.” Do the same with “panda”.

d.Attach the cards on the Bb. Have Ss name the words.

4.Practice the wo rds and learn the phrases “Cool!/ Super!/ Great!/

Wow!”

a.Divide the class into four groups and name them

“COOL/SUPER/GREAT/WOW”

b.Game: Listen & Hit: Name a word. Ss listen hit the card.

c.Game: What’s different? Have Ss close their eyes. Change the

positions of two cards on the Bb. Ss open their eyes and tell

what’s different.

5.Learn the sentence “I have a ….”

a.Show Ss a bag with a toy monkey in it and say “Guess! What

do I have?”

b.Show them the toy monkey and say “Yes, I have a monkey.”

Practice with the other animals.

c.Say “I have a dog/ monkey/ cat.” And take back the toys from

the Ss. Then say “Look! I have a zoo.” Teach them to say “Zoo,

I have a zoo.”

6.Learn the dialogue

a.Have Ss open their books. Play the tape. Ss listen.

b.Play the tape again. Ss listen and repeat.

c.Ss practice in pairs and then act out.
