1Who Stole My Time? Book ReportWow, what a crazy book! "Who Stole My Time?" by Michael Howard is all about this kid named Tommy who is always running late for everything. One day, he wakes up and his watch is gone! He looks everywhere but can't find it. His mean older sister Emily teases him that someone must have stolen his time.Tommy gets so frustrated trying to find his watch that he kicks his backpack and a glowing trail of sand comes pouring out! Turns out, his watch wasn't just a regular watch - it was actually a magical time traveling watch! The sand trail starts rewinding and suddenly Tommy gets zapped back in time to when he was a little baby.Everything looks huge and he can only crawl around and babble. His parents are there but they're so young! His dad doesn't have his bald spot yet. It's really weird seeing them taking care of baby him. After a while, the sand trail rewindsagain and zaps him even further back before he was born. There's just his mom's big belly!Tommy freaks out and the sand rewinds more, this time taking him back to when his parents were just boyfriend and girlfriend in high school. They look like totally different people - his dad has long hair and his mom has braces. It's so bizarre! He follows them around their high school for a while but then gets rewound again to when they were little kids. This pattern keeps happening over and over where the sand trail rewinds him through his whole family's past. He goes back to when his grandparents were young parents, then rewinds again to see his great-grandparents as kids, and so on. He's zooming backwards through time so fast! After zooming through about a hundred years of his family history, the sand finally runs out and he gets stuck wherever in the past he landed. It's like the 1800s or something - everyone is dressed really old-fashioned. He tries telling people he's from the future but they just think he's crazy.Tommy feels so alone until he meets this cool kid named Jack who believes his story. Jack had a similar thing happen where he messed with some magic and got stuck traveling through his own family's past. The two of them become bestfriends and have to work together to try and make their way forwards through time again.Along the way, they run into their ancestors at different points and get caught up in all kinds of hilarious hijinks and problems from history. Like one time, they accidentally give Tommy's great-great-uncle the idea for bicycles. Another time, they have to save Jack's great-grandpa from getting injured in a war.No matter what they do, they can't seem to get back to their normal present time. Every time it seems like they've made progress, something happens and they get knocked backwards again through their family lineages. This pattern just keeps repeating over hundreds of years. The story gets pretty dark and sad at times when they see ancestors struggling through harsh events like famines, diseases, and wars. But it's also really interesting to experience history so vividly firsthand. By the end, they've lived through every generation of their families from the 1800s all the way until present day. Finally, after many many years of bouncing back and forth, they figure out a spell that might allow them to break the cycle and choose what time period they want to live in permanently. The obvious choice is to go back home to their normal lives in the present. Except...after seeing how connected they are to their ancestors and how all of history led to them being born, they can't bear the thought of erasing any of that.So at the very very end, Tommy and Jack decide to stay in the past and liveout their full lives there. We leave them as little kids in the 1800s, looking forward to helping shape the future that their descendants, including their present selves, will eventually be part of. Mind blown!I really really loved this book! It was such an exciting adventure through time. My favorite parts were all the funny misunderstandings when Tommy and Jack would mess things up because they didn't understand the time period. Like when they tried to invent the television but just ended up with a weird box with lights.I also loved seeing how everything and everyone was connected across the generations. Even though time kept rewinding, you could see the chain of events that led one life into the next over and over until finally ending up with Tommy and Jack in the present. It made me appreciate my own family history more. Two thousand words might seem like a lot, but I could honestly go on and on about this book. The concept of being thrown back through your ancestral lineage was just so creative and mind-bending. Part of me was a little sad Tommy and Jack didn't return to their normal lives at the end. But the more I thought about it, the more it felt right that they decided to live out their lives in the past after connecting so deeply with where they came from.Overall, I'd give this book like a 9.5/10. It had pretty much everything - adventure, humor, creative magic,thought-provoking themes, and high stakes that kept me hooked. The only reason it's not a perfect 10 is because the time zigzagging could admittedly get a little confusing or repetitive at points. But that's just a tiny nitpick in an otherwise wildly imaginative, meaningful story that I think anyone would enjoy! Two enthusiastic thumbs up from me.篇2Who Stole My Time? Book ReportHi everyone! I just finished reading this really cool book called "Who Stole My Time?" by Samantha Jenkins. It's all about a girl named Lucy who feels like she never has enough time to doeverything she wants to do. I thought the book was super interesting, and it taught me some great lessons about time management that I want to share with you!The story starts off with Lucy being a total mess. She's always running late, forgetting her homework, and missing out on fun activities with her friends because she can't seem to get everything done. Her mom is constantly nagging her about being more organized and responsible. One day, Lucy comes home from school and realizes that her watch is missing! She looks everywhere for it but just can't find it. That's when she meets a funny little creature named Tickly who tells her that TIME itself has actually been stolen! It turns out there's an evil boss named Clocksworth who runs a factory full of gnomes. These gnomes have been taking people's time by distracting them with video games, TV shows, social media, and other time-wasters. The more time people waste, the more productive hours get stolen right out of their days! Clocksworth is using all the stolen time to power his crazy dream machines that let him live out whatever adventure he wants in his imagination. How sneaky is that?!Tickly explains that he used to work at the factory too, but escaped when he realized how wrong it was to steal people'stime like that. Now he's on a mission to take down Clocksworth and his gnomes to free all the stolen time. The only way to do that is by helping humans learn to use their time better and be way more productive. Tickly asks Lucy if she wants to join his quest, and of course she says yes because who wouldn't want their time back?!From there, the book follows Lucy as Tickly teaches her all kinds of awesome time management tricks. She learns how to prioritize her tasks, cut out distractions, make schedules, and say "no" to things that will just waste her time. I thought these tips were so useful and I already started trying some of them out myself! For example, I made a checklist for my morning routine so I don't forget anything like brushing my teeth or packing my snacks. I also turned off notification sounds on my tablet so I don't keep getting distracted by games in the middle of doing homework. It's helped me get so much more done! The best part is, as Lucy follows Tickly's lessons, she slowly starts collecting tiny hourglasses filled with the time she's saving by being productive. Each one represents an hour she's taking back from Clocksworth's gnomes! Isn't that such a cool idea? I tried imagining what I would do if I had an extra hour of free time each day. Maybe I could spend more time reading funbooks, learn a new hobby, or just play outside longer. The possibilities are endless when you're not rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off all the time! After a while, Lucy collects enough hourglasses that Tickly says they finally have enough power to storm Clocksworth's factory and free all the stolen time. This leads to an epic battle between the good guys (Lucy and Tickly) and the bad guys (Clocksworth and his gnomes). I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say Clocksworth doesn't go down without a fight! There's chase scenes, sneak attacks, and close calls galore. The whole climax had me on the edge of my seat!Ultimately, Lucy and Tickly are triumphant and manage to destroy all the dream machines, releasing a massive tidal wave of hourglasses filled with reclaimed time. As the rescued time rains down, Clocksworth is defeated once and for all. In the end, Tickly even finds a way to give Lucy back her original watch as a parting gift before he has to move on to help another kid in need of time management skills. When Lucy checks her watch, she's shocked to discover that it's still super early in the evening and she suddenly has plenty of time to do her homework, enjoy a hobby, and hang out with her family. All just because she learned how to spend her time morewisely. The book closes with a hopeful message that as long as we're intentional about using our time well, we'll never have to feel frantic or stressed again. We can live fulfilling lives with plenty of "time" to spare!Overall, I absolutely loved "Who Stole My Time?" and I genuinely think everyone should read it. The story was exciting and creative, but more importantly, it taught me brilliant tips for beating procrastination and making the most of my day. Ever since finishing the book, I've been working hard to put Tickly's time management lessons into practice. I make to-do lists, avoid distractions as much as possible, and I'm already noticing a huge difference in how much I can get done without feeling overwhelmed. My mom has even commented on how responsible I've become! If you ever feel like you're running out of time or struggling to get everything finished, I highly recommend giving this book a try. Who knows, you might just meet your own quirky mentor like Tickly who helps you take back your stolen time! At the very least, you'll have a blast reading about Lucy's adventures. Just don't let Clocksworth's gnomes catch you slacking off instead of being productive - or they might come for your time next!篇3Here's a 2000-word book review of "Who Stole My Time?" written in the voice of an elementary school student:Who Stole My Time? Book ReviewWow, I just finished reading this super cool book called "Who Stole My Time?" by Richard Halloway. It's all about how to manage your time better so you can get more done and have more fun! As a kid, I always feel like there's not enough time in the day for everything I want to do. But this book taught me some neat tricks to stop wasting time and use it wisely instead. The book starts by explaining why time management is so important, even for kids like me. It says that when you manage your time well, you can accomplish more, reduce stress, and have more free time to play and do what you enjoy. But when you don't manage your time properly, you end up feeling rushed, overwhelmed, and missing out on fun stuff. I could totally relate to that! One of the first big ideas in the book is about setting priorities. Mr. Halloway says you can't do everything, so you need to decide what's most important and focus on those things first. He suggests making a list of all your tasks and responsibilities, like schoolwork, chores, activities, etc. Then yourank them from most important to least important. That way, you spend your time on the high priority stuff before anything else.Another really helpful tip was about planning ahead. The book says you should make a schedule or routine for yourday/week, so you know exactly when you'll do each task. That keeps you organized and on track instead of just winging it. I tried making a schedule for my week, blocking out time for homework, soccer practice, reading, and playtime. It felt so good to have a plan! But my favorite part was learning about time bandits – those are the silly time wasters that steal your precious minutes and hours without you realizing it. Some major time bandits are watching too much TV, getting distracted by videogames/phones, procrastinating on tasks, and failing to take breaks. Once I started paying attention, I noticed I was totally guilty of these time-wasting habits! The book gives awesome strategies to avoid or limit time bandits.Like for TV/games, it recommends setting a firm time limit (like 1 hour per day) and using an alarm to stay on track. For procrastination, you can try doing your worst/hardest task first to get it over with. And for distractions, it suggests temporarily disabling notifications or blocking certain websites. Taking short, frequent breaks is important too – that re-energizes you so you can work more efficiently.Another big takeaway was the importance of dealing with time bullies. Those are the people, obligations or commitments that pressure you and demand too much of your limited time. The book tells you how to politely say "no" sometimes and set boundaries. It also recommends negotiating for more reasonable expectations when possible.Overall, I learned SO much from reading "Who Stole My Time?". Things like prioritizing, planning, and eliminatingtime-wasters have already helped me feel more productive and in control of my days. Of course, I'm still a kid so I can't always do everything perfectly. But using these strategies has made a huge difference in my ability to get stuff done while still having plenty of time leftover for fun and relaxation.I'd definitely recommend this book to any of my friends or classmates who feel stressed or overwhelmed trying to juggle all their responsibilities. The tips are super practical and the examples made it easy for me to understand as a 10-year-old. I'm really glad I read it because now I'm finally the boss of my time, not the other way around! Two thumbs up for "Who StoleMy Time?" – it's a must-read for any kid wanting to make the most of their day.篇4Who Stole My Time? Book ReportWow, reading the book "Who Stole My Time?" by Amanda Richards was such an awesome experience! It's all about this10-year-old girl named Samantha who feels like she never has enough time to do all the fun stuff she wants to do. I totally get that feeling! The story starts with Samantha waking up late one Saturday morning. Her mom is fussing at her for sleeping in, saying "You're wasting the whole day away!" Samantha thinks to herself how she never has time for anything. She has school, homework, chores, and her parents are always making her go to bed early. It's not fair!Later that day, Samantha meets this cool explorer dude named Professor Pocketwatch. He's dressed in khakis and a pith helmet and has a fake bushy mustache on. The professor tells Samantha that he travels through time studying how people in different eras spend their days. He thinks Samantha's problem is super fascinating and wants to help her find her missing time!So Professor Pocketwatch takes Samantha on this epic journey through history using his fantastical time machine. Their first stop is the Stone Age, where they meet a clan of cavemen. These guys didn't have school, jobs, or video games. All they did each day was hunt for food and create fire to keep warm. Samantha realizes even cavemen spent most of their time on stuff they had to do rather than wanted to do. She wasn't missing out on much back then!Next, they travel to Ancient Egypt to hang out with the pharaohs. Samantha expects their lives of luxury, but it turns out being a pampered royal kid wasn't that great either. The young princes and princesses had endless boring lessons in reading, writing, art, music, and religion. Their play time was limited and strictly scheduled. One princess laments, "I just want to go run and play without tutors watching my every move!" No thanks, Samantha thinks. The dynamic duo visits several other time periods like Ancient Greece, Medieval Europe, and the Renaissance. Kids in the past didn't have much free time either due to rigorous academic studies, lengthy chores, and training for future roles. The eras with more advances in science and learning just meant more cultural obligations for youngsters.Samantha starts to realize her problems aren't too different from kids throughout history. There's always going to be lots of stuff you have to do and limited free time, no matter where or when you live. The key is making the most of those precious free moments. Finally, Professor Pocketwatch takes Samantha to the future - the 2200s to be exact. Everything is super high-tech and automated. Robots do all the work and chores, so kids have loads of free time. At first, this sounds awesome to Samantha. No more nagging about chores or homework! But as she meets the future children, Samantha sees the downside to endless leisure. The kids seem bored and kinda lazy. With nothing to work towards, they just lie around all day watching mind-numbing videos and playing video games. One kid tells Samantha he's trying to break the world record for highest level in Extreme Ninja Apocalypse X. That's...really it for life goals? Yikes.Samantha comes to appreciate having a balance of responsibilities and free time like she does. Too much of either isn't good. As Professor Pocketwatch gets ready to take her home, he tells her, "The key is being thankful for the time you dohave to yourself and using it wisely on things that interest and enrich you." She knows he's right. When Samantha gets home, she has a newfound gratitude for her life. She makes sure to work hard and get her must-do tasks done, but then spends her free hours on hobbies like reading, art, and sports that she's passionate about. Samantha realizes she's not missing out on time at all - she's already living the balanced life she needs! This book was such an awesome read with its fun time travel adventures and valuable lessons about time management. The creative fantasy concept made understanding the benefits of a balanced routine super easy. Three cheers for Professor Pocketwatch and Samantha's epic quest! I'll for sure spend my free time more wisely from now on.篇5Who Stole My Time? Book ReportWow, "Who Stole My Time?" by Michael Gary is such an awesome book! It's all about this kid named Jimmy who can never seem to get anything done on time. I totally get that because I'm always running late for school or forgetting aboutmy homework too. This book really shows how easy it is to waste time without even realizing it.The story starts with Jimmy oversleeping and being rushed to get ready for school. His mom is yelling at him to hurry up, but Jimmy just keeps getting distracted by little things like his video games or looking for his favorite shirt. He ends up being late for the bus and has to get a ride from his cranky neighbor Mr. Wilson. Not a great start to the day!At school, Jimmy spaces out during class thinking about his new video game instead of listening to the teacher. Then at lunch, he trades away his sandwich because he's too busy joking around with his friends to eat it. In gym class, he's the last one finished running laps because he kept stopping to tie his shoes. It's like he has no concept of time!Things get really bad when Jimmy realizes he has a huge homework assignment due the next day that he hasn't even started. He tries to work on it that night, but he just keeps getting sidetracked playing games, watching TV, and mindlessly snacking. Before he knows it, it's midnight and he's made zero progress! The next day, Jimmy has to turn in his homework incomplete and get a bad grade. His teacher Mr. Abrams says Jimmy needsto learn better time management skills before it's too late. That's when Jimmy decides to make a change and stop letting time slip through his fingers. He starts setting alarms, making checklists, and doing his hardest tasks first before anything fun. It's not easy at first, but Jimmy slowly gets better at budgeting his time wisely. He stops procrastinating so much and even finds he has extra free time once he cuts out all the little distractions. It's like he discovered a secret power!By the end, Jimmy has really turned things around. He gets his work done early, joins an after-school club, and even has time to just chill out and have fun without stressing. His parents and teachers are so impressed with his new responsible attitude. The story has a happy ending, but it drives home how crucial time management is in a really entertaining way.I think every kid (and adult too!) can relate to Jimmy's struggles with time. We all have procrastinated or zoned out when we should be focusing at some point. This book opens your eyes to all the little moments you let dribble away without thinking. It's the wake up call we all need!I give "Who Stole My Time?" five out of five stars! The story is funny and fast-paced, plus the message is so important.Jimmy's journey from hopeless time-waster to time management master is inspiring. I'm going to steal some of his strategies like making a schedule and doing the hard stuff first. No more letting hours slip away into the internet vortex or bouncing between a million distractions for me!Thanks Michael Gary for writing such an awesome,eye-opening book. I already feel more motivated to use my time better after reading it. I don't want to end up like poor Jimmy at the start, scrambling at the last minute and losing total control of my days. From now on, I'm going to be the master of my time, not the other way around! Read this book, trust me. It's a total game-changer.。
