The Present Progressive Tense

Good afternoon , everyone. It’s my great honor to be here to present my lesson, and the chance is very precious for me. And I’ll try my best. Today I’m going to talk about unit 5 part 1, junior English ,Book 2. This includes let’s talk, and practice it.

The second one is analysis of the students .According to the text, the students should demonstrate enthusiasm and strong self-confidence in English, able to communicate with others.It is known to us that the students are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class I’ll design games and saying song to attractive them in our class.

The third one is teaching methods.in the process of the speaking lesson ,I will design many tasks completed by the student, lets the student participate in the learning process.

Let’s move on to another part, teaching aims and demands. There are knowledge ability aims. Knowledge aims are to enable the students to master:what are sb doing”sentence structure. Ability aims After learning, students can skilfully master this sentence structure to make dialogue and speaking ability by reading and practicing the dialogue.

Next is the teaching aids. In this class, I’ll use pictures, water

class ,PPT ,and tape recorder. These can arouse the students’interest in English.

Now I’ll talk about most important part teaching procedure. It consists of 4 steps. lead-in, contents key points and difficult points and homework. Lead-in, first I make action (drinking, singing a song), and let students guess. Then let some students do(eating walking and cleaning) let other students guess. In this time ,students will give me various answers,under the atmosphere, I will take them into today’s lesson “present progressive”

First of all, I will introduce the sentence structure present progressive, its structure is “sb+be +doing+sth” ,for example: “I am drinking water” next I will let the students look at the pictures of the book and let the students match words with pictures ,then let them make dialogue by pair work according to the pictures. For example Student A:“what are you doing?”

Student B: “ I am doing homework.” just like this.

Then,I will take them into the listening to strengthen study of this tense. At last homework. I will command them to do the work book related to this part.

About blackboard design, I think like this :the left part of the blackboard mainly contains words and usage, the middle of it are main sentence structure and difficult points, the right of it Ancillary
