声母是指音节开头的辅音。
例如“学”（xué）这个音节中的x就是他的声母。
有的音节开头没有辅音，而以a、o、e、i、u、等元音字母开头，那么这个音节就没有声母，也就是说他的音节的声母等于零，称他为零声母音节。
爱（ài）没有辅音，我们就称它为零声母音节。
2、韵母：a o e i u üai ei ui ao ou iu ie üe er an en in un ün ang eng ing ong 韵母，就是指音节声母后面的部分。
例如“限电”（xiàn diàn）的“iàn”就是韵母。

声调符号在音节的主要母音上，轻音不标。
5、隔音符号：隔音符号的作用就是“隔音”。
汉语拼音方案所规定的符号——’，必要时放在a、o、e前头，使音节的界限清楚，不致混淆。
如：皮袄pí’ǎo，西安xī’ān。
读轻声的一般有以下几种情况：（1）语气词“吧，吗，啊，阿，呢”等读轻声；（2）助词“着，了，过，地，得，们”等读轻声；（3）名词后缀“头，子”等读轻声；（4）重叠词或重叠双音节动词读轻声，如“走走”；（5）表趋向的动词做补语时读轻声，如“太阳升起来了。
