历史回眸:残酷血腥的越南战争大型组图越南战争(1961年~1975年)现越南政府称之为:抗美救国战争(越南语:Chi?n Tranh Ch?ng M? C?u N??c),为新民主主义的越南民主共和国(北越)及“越南南方民族解放阵线”(所谓越共)反抗美国及其傀儡政权越南共和国(南越)的战争。美国在本次战争中失败(虽然美国政府自称是“光荣的撤退”)。越战是冷战中的“一次热战”,希望统一越南的南方反政府军“民族解放阵线”在北越领导人胡志明的支持下,反对南越吴庭艳政府。美国则出兵帮助南越。最开始扶植南越的美国总统是Dwightd David Eisenhower(德怀特·戴维·艾森豪威尔);John Fitzgerald Kennedy(约翰·菲茨杰拉德·肯尼迪)开始支持在越南作战;林登·约翰逊将战争扩大。在Richard Milhous Nixon(理查德·米尔豪斯·尼克松)执政时期,美国因国内的反战浪潮,逐步将军队撤出越南。北越军和南越共军最终打败了南越政府军队,统一了越南全境。
