首先感谢市教育局、教研室领导给XX教办这个机会，向各位领导汇报XX在小学英语教育工作中的点滴做法。

XX镇现有完全小学8处，现有小学生XXX人，61个教学班，在职教师XX人。
近年来，XX镇教办在市教育局的正确领导和市教研室的亲切关怀下，以提高XX小学英语教学质量为总抓手，不断强化队伍建设，落实教学常规，创新教学研究，强化质量监控，强力推进英语教学工作。
一、建队伍，夯实工作基础。
教师是教学的第一资源，是开展教学工作的基础。
近年来，峄山镇教办针对全镇英语学科专任教师缺乏的实际，积极向市教育局领导和有关科室建议，在每年的教师招考中，都有一定数量的英语专任教师到峄山镇任教。
XX年以来，共有5名本科以上英语专业教师到XX镇任教，其中研究生学历1人。
同时，对各学校紧缺的年级英语学科，由学校安排本科以上具有英语教学经验的教师担任专任教师，对在教学实践中教学能力差、成绩不突出的专任教师随时进行调整。
目前，全镇各学校有英语专任教师12名，配备数量齐全、素质优良、能力过硬。
二、强培训，提高整体素质。

近年来，峄山镇立足培养“业务型、专家型、创新型”教师为目标，不断加大对英语专任教师的培训力度。
去年以来，在市教研室领导的关心支持下，先后组织开展青年教师赛课、联片教研、送教下乡等近10个班次的培训交流活动。
去年暑期，组织12名英语教师赴浙江大学学习，凡是市教研室、进修学校组织或自行参加的培训活动，镇教办都积极组织人员参加。
