Student Information Services
Bachelor and Master Courses of Study at the University of Bern
Bachelor programmes last 6 semesters or 3 years = 180 ECTS* (one semester = 30 ECTS).
Master programmes last 3 or 4 semesters (1.5 or 2 years) = 90 or 120 ECTS (exception: Medicine = 180 ECTS).
Most programmes consist of a major and a minor, some are mono programmes.

At bachelor level the language of instruction is German (exception: language programmes).
