1.Waiter: Good evening. Do you have a reservation?

Customer: Yes. The reservation is under Li.

Waiter: Very good, Mr. Li. Do you prefer smoking or non-smoking section? Customer: Smoking, please.

Waiter: Let me show you to your table.

Customer: Thank you.

Waiter: You’re welcome.

Waiter: May I have your order now?

Customer: Yes. I would like the beef steak.

Waiter: How would you like your meat cooked?

Customer: Medium, please.

Waiter: Anything else to drink?

Customer: Yes. A glass of bourbon.

2.Waitress: Good evening，Sir. Welcome to our restaurant. Do you have a reservation? Guest: I’m sorry I don’t.

Waitress: This way，please?

Guest: OK.

Waitress: Here’s the menu for you.

Guest: Thank you. (a few minutes later)

Waitress: May I have your order，sir?

Guest: Sure. I’d like to try some Sichuan food today. Would you recommend some? Waitress: I suggest Kung-pao chicken. It’s a typical Sichuan dish，spicy and hot. Guest: OK, I’ll have it.

Waitress: Ok. What kind of drink do you prefer? Beer, wine or tea?

Guest: I’ll have some green tea，then.
