感叹句一般是用来表示说话时的喜悦、惊讶等情感。
英语感叹句常用"what"和"how"引导,"what"和"how"与所修饰的词置于句首,其它部分用陈述句语序。
一、由"what"引导的感叹句:"what"意为"多么"用作定语,修饰名词(被强调部分),单数可数名词前要加不定冠词a/an复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。
这类句子的结构形式是:what+(a/an)+adj.+ n.+主语+谓语+(it is). 如:① What a clever girl she is! 多么聪明的姑娘呀!② What an interesting story it is! 多么有趣的故事呀!③ What good children they are! 他们是多么好的孩子呀!④ What beautiful flowers they are! 多么漂亮的花呀!⑤ What delicious food it is! 多么有味的食物呀!⑥ What heavy snow it is! 多么大的雪呀!二、由"how"引导的感叹句:"how"意为"多么",用作状语,修饰形容词或副词(被强调部分)。
如果修饰形容词,则句中的谓语动词用系动词;如果how修饰副词,则句中的谓语动词用行为动词,这类句子的结构形式是:How+ adj.(adv.)+主语+谓语+(it is). 如:① How cold it is today! 今天多么冷呀!② How nice the pictures are! 多么漂亮的图画呀!③ How happy they look! 他们显得多么高兴呀!④ How well she sings! 她唱得多好呀!⑤ How hard they are working now! 他们干得多么起劲呀!三、同义转换在表示同一意义时,英语感叹既可用"what"引导,也可用"how"引导。

对于这些常规的用法小编不再赘述,现就what在高中英语中的某些超常规用法总结如下:1. what = just as,意为“恰像,犹如,好比”用作连词,引导比较状语从句。
⑴惯用句式是:A is to B what C is to D. 意为“A对B而言正如C对D一样”例如:①Air is to us What water is to fish. 空气对于我们犹如水对于鱼。
(介词to 表示两者的关系)⑵也有“A is for B what C is for D.”句式。
例如:②Poultry is for the cook what canvas is for the paint. 厨师离不了家禽正如画家离不开画布一样。
(介词for表示“供…使用”)⑶what 引导的从句也可以放在句首,其句式是:WhatC is to D,that A is to B.(= A is to B what C is to D.)在这一结构中,喻体在前,主体在后,相当于“just as…,so…”结构,意思也是“A对B而言正如C对D一样”例如:What blood vessel is to a mans body,that railway is to transportation.(=Just as blood vessel is to a mans body ,soRailway is to transportation.)铁路对于运输,好比血管对于人体一样。

what的用法与高考一.what作为疑问代词的用法:1. 对年级、班级、排号、号码等提问时要用what ,并与名词grade 、class 、row 、number 等连用。
如:What number are you?你是几号呢?2. 对某事物或某人的姓名提问时常用what .如:What is your name?你叫什么名字?3. 对算式的得数进行提问时用what .如:What is three plus four?三加四等于几?4. 询问“某物有何毛病”或“某人怎么了”常用what .如:What's wrong with your bike?你的自行车出什么毛病了?5.what 与colour 构成what colour 来询问颜色。
