5.定语从句

修饰一个名词或代词的从句称为定语从句，被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。引导定语从句的词称为关系词，关系词有关系代词和关系副词。在本单元，我们只涉及关系代词that, who, which。请用( )标出定语从句，用﹏划出先行词，用____ 划出引导词。

题:①I like music that isn’t too loud. ② I like musicians who play different kinds of music.

⑴ who代替人，在定语从句中作主语或宾语，作宾语时可以省略。

① I love singers who write their own music. (who指代______,在定语从句中作______)

② I know the girl who you met yesterday. (who指代______,在定语从句中作______)

⑵ which指代物，在定语从句中做主语或宾语，作宾语时可以省略。

① I like music which is quiet. (which指代______,在定语从句中作______)

② I like music which I can dance to. (which指代_____,在定语从句中作______ 的宾语)

⑶that既可以指人，也可以指物，在定语从句中做主语或宾语。指人时，相当于who，指物时，相当于

which。that在从句中作宾语时可省略。如：

① He is the man that lives next door.

此处that可换成who，指代the man，在定语从句中作主语，因此不能省略。

② I like music that I can sing along with （此处that可换成which，指代the music, 在定语从句中作

sing along with 的宾语，可以省略。）

题：用who或which 填空。

① The boy _______ is standing under the tree is my brother.

② The book ______ I borrowed yesterday is very interesting.

③ He is the teacher _______ taught us English last year.

7. less的反义词为more, 都可以修饰形容词或副词原形构成比较级。
