Step 1 Presentation

1a Ask the students to think of a time when they were late for or couldn't go to an event. What was the event?

What was the reason why they were late or couldn't go?

Let them tell their partner the story.

Step 2 Listening

What happened to the girl? Let's listen.

1b Listen and write short answers to the questions.

1.What event happened at the school yesterday?

1c Listen again. Number the events [1 -6] in the order they happened.
