Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is a great honor to stand before you today as a graduate student in English Literature. Today, I would like to share with you my reflections on the journey that has brought me to this point, the power of literature, and the enduring impact it has on our lives. As English majors, we have all embarked on a remarkable journey that has taken us through the ages, across continents, and into the hearts and minds of countless characters. We have delved into the depths of human emotions, explored the complexities of society, and celebrated the triumphs of the human spirit. Through our studies, we have come to understand that literature is not just a collection of books, but a living, breathing force that shapes our understanding of the world and ourselves. The journey of an English major begins with the study of the foundations of literature. We are introduced to the works of Shakespeare, Chaucer, and the Brontë sisters, whose stories have become part of our cultura l heritage. We learn about the evolution of the English language, the development of literary genres, and the historical contexts that have influenced the works we study. This foundational knowledge allows us to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of our literary predecessors. As we progress through our studies, we delve deeper into the world of literature. We encounter the raw, passionate poetry of William Wordsworth, the intricate, psychological novels of Virginia Woolf, and the powerful, satirical plays of George Orwell. Each work offers us a unique perspective on the human condition, and we are constantly challenged to think critically and analytically about the themes, characters, and styles we encounter. One of the most compelling aspects of literature is its ability to transport us to different times and places. Through the pages of a novel or the lines of a poem, we can experience the Renaissance, the Victorian era, or the postmodern world. This temporal journey allows us to gain a deeper understanding of the past, and to draw connections between historical events and the present. Moreover, literature provides us witha window into the lives of people who are different from us, enabling us to empathize with their struggles and triumphs. The power of literature lies not only in its ability to transport us through time and space, but also in its capacity to evoke emotions and inspire change. Literature has the power to make us laugh, cry, and reflect. It has the power to challenge our preconceived notions and open our eyes to new possibilities. In a world that is often divided and conflict-ridden, literature serves as a bridge that connects us, fostering empathy and understanding among diverse groups of people.Consider the works of Harper Lee, whose "To Kill a Mockingbird" has become an enduring testament to the fight against racial injustice. Through the eyes of Scout Finch, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, courage, and moral integrity. Similarly, the works of J.K. Rowling have brought magic to the lives of millions, offering a sense of hope and belonging to those who may feel marginalized or isolated. As English majors, we have been trained to think critically about literature. We have learned to analyze the textual evidence, consider the author's intent, and draw connections between the text and the broader social context. These skills are not only valuable in our academic pursuits, but they are also applicable to our personal and professional lives. The ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage with complex ideas is essential in today's rapidly changing world. In conclusion, the power of literature is a testament to the humanspirit's capacity for creativity, empathy, and understanding. As English majors, we have been fortunate to embark on a journey that has enriched our lives and expanded our horizons. We have learned that literature is not just a collection of books, but a living, breathing force that has the power to transform our world. As we move forward, let us carry with us the lessons we have learned from our literary heroes. Let us use our knowledge and skills to engage with the world around us, to inspire others, and to contribute to the ongoing conversation about what it means to be human. In doing so, wehonor the legacy of those who have come before us, and we ensure that the power of literature will continue to thrive for generations to come.Thank you.。

研究生英语学术演讲稿范文Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. It is my great honor to stand here and share my research with you today. The topic of my presentation is the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work.As we all know, artificial intelligence, or AI, has been developing rapidly in recent years, and its impact on the job market has become a hot topic of discussion. Many people are concerned that AI will replace human workers, leading to widespread unemployment. However, I believe that the situation is not so pessimistic.Firstly, AI has the potential to create new job opportunities. While it is true that some jobs may be automated, AI also has the potential to create new industries and professions. For example, the development of AI technology will require a large number of engineers, programmers, and data analysts. In addition, AI can also be used to improve efficiency and productivity in existing industries, creating new demand for skilled workers.Secondly, AI can complement human workers and improve the quality of work. Rather than replacing human workers, AI can be used to assist them in their jobs. For example, AI can be used to analyze large amounts of data and provide valuable insights, allowing human workers to make better-informed decisions. In addition, AI can be used to automate routine tasks, allowing human workers to focus on more creative and complex aspects of their work.Thirdly, the impact of AI on the job market will depend on how it is implemented and regulated. It is important for policymakers and industry leaders to consider the potential impact of AI on the job market and take steps to ensure that the benefits of AI are shared equitably. This may involve implementing training programs to help workers acquire the skills needed to work alongside AI, as well as implementing regulations to ensure that AI is used in a way that benefits society as a whole. In conclusion, while the development of AI will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the job market, I believe that it is not a cause for alarm. By taking a proactiveapproach to the implementation and regulation of AI, we can ensure that it creates more opportunities than challenges for the future of work. Thank you for your attention.。

Chenghang:Bailu:hello, everyone i am bailu.Lvning:Hello, everyone! My name is lvning, majoring in machenical engineering.Limeng:My name is Limeng. My major is Environmental Science and Engineering.Lihaibo:Hello everyone!my name is Li Hai Bo ,from mechanical engineering academy.Chenghang:Bailu:As for me,i find i am busy most of the day,but do not accomplish the things that really matter to me. first,i may be spending too much on low priority busywork.i have no enough time to do everything on my schedule and make progress on important goals.i am feeling overwhelmed and out of control.Second,i am always doing very efficiently the things which need not be done at all.this is one of the worst ways of time management.i can waste my time, particularly when i do not even realize i am doing it.Second,i would like to persue perfection.perfectionism tricks me into spending too much time perfecting tasksthat should already be done.So i think i am absolutely unproductive.that is all. Lvning:I don't think I am a productive person. For me,when under the supervision of other person,I will be more productive.Because I always stop what i'm doing now to do other things that I am interested in.It is not easy for me to focus on one thing for a block of time.So if someone reminds me of my work,I think I will be more productive.Limeng: I always wait until the last minute to do my work. Actually I really don’t want to be like that, but it’s hard for me to concentrate on doing things if I’m not under a deadline. Although I’m used to having a very tight schedule to meet the deadline, time seemed to be not enough for me. When I get to the end of a busy day, I don’t have a strong sense of accomplishment.I also feel stressed and overwhelmed. So I thing I’m not a very productive people, to some extents.I’m studying time management and productivity from books, articles and reports recently. And I foundseveral secrets of very productive people and what they do differently from unproductive and ineffective people. Now I’m going to share with you.Lihaibo:En, I think that compare with the students around me I'm a productive person. That because when I was a child i learn from my father that time is very important for our everyone.my father also told me we couldn't have the ability to retain today but we have chooses not to spoil today. So as I grow up,I gradually formed my own style of time management .I used to take my tasks into categories using the ABCD prioritization.this method helps me focus and spend more of my time on the things that really matter to me ,I think this is one of the main reason why I more productive than my classmate. That's all!Chenghang:Limeng:I think the first secret is “The mindset”. Your mindset is critical. Let me give you an example of two different productivity mindsets. The first mindset is trying to find time for an important project in an already busy and overcrowdedschedule. With this mindset, you start your day and do whatever task grabs your attention first. Maybe it’s email, maybe it’s surfing the web, or some other distraction. After a while, you start with your project, but then remember that you need to do your experiments, so you drop your project and work on that instead. As you go through the day, you hope that you’ll be able to find some time for your important project latter on when things settle down a bit. But unfortunately, they never do. You jump from one thing to the next, and get to the end of the day feeling like you had a busy day, but realizing that you actually accomplished very little. The second mindset is the opposite one. Instead of starting the day with whatever task grabs your attention first; you consciously make time for your important project and work on it for several hours, without getting sidetracked by anything else.Do you see how that small shift in your mindset can make a huge difference in your productivity? So effective productivity mindset help you accomplish more in less time and with less stress. The second secret of very productive people is “Value your time”.You probably know that time waits for no one. Once an hour is gone, you will never get it back. So your time is too precious to waste!People that don’t value their time usually don’t care whether they are productive or not. Perhaps they feel that no matter how much they waste their time today, they’ll just get more tomorrow. They see an endless river of time flowing their way on day after the next. But you and I know that while this “river of time”may seem endless, it’s really not. Time will run out for all of us.So it’s really important for us to rethink about how to spend our time right now? How much value have we placed on our time in the past?OK, that’s all. Thank you!Lihaibo:Ok!I would like to emphasize on 1 more point .I once read a book The Effective Executive the author says that effectiveness is the critical quality that distinguishes great achievers from everyone else. That's because true productivity and achievementare not just about getting things done.Much more important than how much "stuff" you get done is weather your actions are helping you create the results you truly want in your business and your life;In other words, true productivity and achievement are about effectiveness;about getting the right things done.Once you've developed your productive system and can execute consistently, focusing on getting the right things done will take your productivity to a whole new level.I know a story about an executive who was very busy and spend years climbing up the corporate ladder. After many years of struggle and sacrifice,he finally made it to the top only to realize that it was leaning against the wrong wall! The best way to avoid this common scenario is to integrate your purpose values and goals along with your projects and tasks. That's how you get things done. Chenghang:Lvning: For the first problem,in my opinion,as an average person, the best way to stop using our head to keep track of things is to write them down.By this method,we can handle a lot of information and details without getting overloaded. So we can work according tothe plan we have already made and concentrate our energy on the more inportant things. For the second problem,it is often a waste of time ,because the things that grab your attention are usually not important. In order to overcome this problem,I think we need to use a to--do list that works, propritize it based on impritance and urgency. So we can decide whether the things grap our attention is improtant or not and we can put off the distraction to a more approprite time. That's all.Bailu:As far as i am concerned,i hold the idea that there are three common time management mistakes. First of all,it is not prioritizing your to do list.how can you spend your time on your top priorities if you do not even know what they are?Secondly,it is trying to find time for the important stuff.the fact is that you already have all the time you are ever going to get,you will never find time for anything,if you want time, you must make it.if you feel like you do not have enough time to do something important you want to do,you have to learn how to maketime for it,even if that means delaying or eliminating other less important items from your schedule, you can not find more time, but you can always chang the way you use the time you already have.Thirdly,it is drifting into trivia,if you find yourself routinely working on unimportant things ,you may be drifting into trivia more often than you think.drifting into trivia is an easy way to escape doing an important but unpleasant task by jumping at the first chance to do something else, even when that something else is not at all important. So i think prioritization and planning are essential to make sure you spend enough of your time on your top priorities.that is all.Chenghang:Lihaibo:Ok!I'm very glad to have the chance to share some good habit about time management with our audience!I will give all of you four tips! The first point is: plan your weekSpend some time at the beginning of each week to plan your schedule.taking the extra time to do this will helpincrease your productivity and balance your important long-term projects with your more urgent tasks.all you need is fifteen to thirty minutes each week for your planning sessionThe second point is:learn to say noMany people become overloaded with too much work because they overcommit;they say yes when they really should be saying no.Learn to say no to low priority requests and you will free up time to spend on things that are more important. The third point is:Avoid attempting to do too much While it is good to balance important long-term projects with urgent tasks, you can take this too far.If you spread your time and energy over too many different projects, you may not be able to make meaningful progress on any of them.Good time management trequires that you focus your time on a smaller set of objectives. The last point but I think is also most important is have funWhat is life without a little fun?Make time to spend with your friends and loved ones.Having fun will helpyou feel more satisfied with both life and your job. that's all。

研究生英语演讲稿5篇研究生英语演讲稿(篇1)choice and processgood morning, ladies and gentlemen:my topic is about choice and process today. a research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one so many choices one day, people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. in my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. there is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.life is a box of chocolate never know what you will get.forrest gump made no decision by and for himself ,but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. the process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. take myself as an example,i changed my major when ibecame a postgraduate. after the choice, days have been harsh for me . i cannot understand the new lessons at all. for they areclosely related to mathmatics which i learned nothingabout before. however the belief that this is thegreat chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself, i persisted. i asked for help from every channel and reorganized my ually i could understand some parts and even found that maths interesting, i learned to act instead of complaining. in retrospect, the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.no matter what the choice is, enjoy the process. inthe process, your potential will be inspired and new discoveries ,improvement and progress will come to you. these are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see it. these make your life colorful.there is no need and i don’t want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here. but i congratulateto myself for i gain and enjoy this fantastic experience. so my dear friends ,never worry about your choice and enjoy the process .i am sure you will get something new and interestingafter you chose to come here. thank you!研究生英语演讲稿(篇2)Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Zhang Botao, I am from Shaanxi University of Science & Technology. When I stand here to deliver my speech, I’m a little worried about my cell phone and also yours. I’mafraid that one of them may suddenly ring loudly sothat my fascinating speech will probably beinterrupted by SIMENS, NOKIA, MOTOROLA or PANDA. And this is just one possible result caused by economic globalization. No matter if you admit it or not, weare now all in a global village and economic globalization is here to stay.Nowadays, economic globalization is being referred to more and more. I don’t know who first invented the word, but undoubtedly, it is steadily and inexorably becoming more and more common and important. It covers our world so quickly, just like influenza. As Charles Darwin noted: Survival of the fittest. In order to adapt to this great and global reform, I think, there must be something important and urgent we need to do, for every nation, every corporation, and even to every person.First, take me for an example. Just ten years ago, I did not know what a computer was, let alone what itcan do. But since 20__, I cannot live without my computer, just like I can’t live without my cell phone! Of course, these great changes are derived from economic globalization, and the rapid development of China. For every Chinese man like me, these rapid changes mean great challenge: Because of economic globalization, many new technologies rushed into China without translation; Because of economic globalization, many unknown software appeared on our desks; And, because of the economic globalization, we must hasten our rhythm of living, working and even resting. The speed of the development of China has beentremendously accelerated, so if we don’t want to be elapsed from this great tidal wave of development, we must understand the meaning of this phrase very clearly: One is never too old to learn.Second, to an enterprise in China, it also means a problem concerning survival. Our entrance to WTO has paved the way for many super universal corporations to enter the economic market of China. This means the competition in our domestic market will be much more brutal than ever before. If our state enterprises and other companies don’t adjust to this global reform and get used to the more and more cruel competition, surely they will be elapsed in thisblood-red economic battle. If you want your company to stand up at last, I think the most important thing for you to do is that, “Firm your confidence and welcome the great coming challenge.”Third, as globalization is gradually knitting separate national economies into a single one, if one nation would like to stand up and develop during these global changes, it must effectively carry out some economical and political reforms. For example, reducing the tax to attract more international organizations to invest in our country, or do some political reforms, to cater for some important international organizations. Maintaining an average 8% economic increase rate per year needs not only effective and promising economic policy, but also the prudent leadership.Economic globalization brings us not only a great challenge, but also a great chance to develop. It brings us a great potential of international corporations and makes them take roots and develop in China. And this will create new job opportunities for our huge labor market. If we can strengthen ourselves and take the chance, I promise, China’s development will be hastened greatly, and China will become the leader of economic globalization of the world!by botao研究生英语演讲稿(篇3)my backgroundi was born in a small village of shan dong province on april 4th, 1968。
