Last week our class had a parents’ meeting. At the meeting, all the parents… talked about whether doing a lot of homework was useful or not. Many parents thought that doing much homework was useful. They thought by doing a lot of homework, students could review what they had learned. It would also help to develop the students’ minds and stop them playing computer games.

But a few parents thought that too much homework was useless. Because doing much homework took a lot of time and thus students could not have a good rest. What’s more, they could not do the things they liked.

In my opinion, doing some suitable homework is necessary and helpful.

Dear Peter，

I am very happy to receive your letter. You asked me about my summer holiday plan and I’d

like to tell you about it.

First, I’ll go to a language school and spend some time practicing my oral English so that I can

talk with you freely next time you visit me. Then I’ll learn some cooking from my mother because

cooking is one of basic life skills. And there ’ s a very special plan I can’t wait to tell you. I’ll work

as a volunteer for my community. It ’ s completely new for me. I hope I can do something to help

others. Also, I’m going to a summer camp in July, where I can relax myself and make new friends.

It will be fun. How about your summer holiday plan?

With more and more Chinese people traveling abroad, their bad behaviors have become a hot

topic. A recent US survey showed Chinese were the second worst tourists. How can we be a good

tourist? Here are some tips for you.

First, we should keep our voice down while talking with friends in public places. Please wait

in line if you want to take a bus or have dinner. Also, don’t spit or drop litter whenever you want.

Finally, it’s really bad behavior to write or draw pictures on famous buildings.

As a middle school student, I think we should pay attention to our behavior, saying no to

those bad habits. While enjoying ourselves, we should not only respect local customs, but also

take care of the environment.

Hi, everyone, today I want to talk about how to keep healthy. I hope my advice will help you.

You should eat less fast food and eat more healthy food, like fruit and vegetables. It’s better to have your favourite sport and do exercise twice or three times a week. Don’t take a bus if you can go there on foot. I also advise you to have enough sleep. You can listen to music before you go to bed. But don’t play computer games or watch TV. It’s important to be happy every day.

Would you like to live in school? We had a survey about it and here's the result. Most students prefer to live in school because they find it convenient to communicate with their classmates. Also, they can learn how to look after themselves in this way.

However, some students think living at home is a better choice. The main reason is that they can relax better at home. Besides, they can spend more time with their family members and get on better with them.

As for me, I'd like to live in school. That's because I can spend more time on study. What's more, it's a wonderful experience to live with other classmates.

We all have some problems and in our lives. How should we solve them?

I think we should take some exercise, so we can keep healthy. We should often communicate with our parents, teachers and friends to tell them about our problems or stress. We should try to get along well with people around us. We need to relax ourselves, so we can listen to music, do some reading too. We must try our best to study hard and be brave to face our grades. Do something that we interested in, they will make us fell more better.

Nowadays, lots of people have their own mobile phones, but more and more people are crazy about their mobile phones. It is common to see people staring at their mobile phone everywhere all the time, taking no notice of the people around them.
