Yang Jiang: a graceful, vivid and profound soul.
1910s
• She was born in Beijing, originally named Yang Jikang.
• As a baby she likes laughing.
1920s
• Her parents let every daughter develop their character freely, which is rare at that time and even at present.
1990s
• Her husband and daughter passed away. • She almost stopped all the work.
About the couple
• Together they went through ups and downs. • Qian Zhongshu praised her as the most virtuous wife and the most talented women, and the unique unity of wife, friend and valentine. • They helped each other on literature works and write forward for each others books.

While she lived in Shanghai, Her drama 《称 心如意》《弄真成假》 were brought onto the stage. After that she commonly was known as Yang Jiang(pen name)

• Chinese edition of Don Quixote was published and was given to the king of Spain by Deng Xiaoping

• She began to write short novels, which were also highly honored. • The novel《老王》 written in 1984 was selected as the passage in our middle school text book
