Part 1: Analysis of the teaching material
The lesson is the first period of Book one unit one, Friendship. This unit focuses on friendship and it tells us that a friend can not only be a human being but other things. The purpose of WARMING UP is to introduce the topic to the students in an interesting way. And the pre-reading activity focuses students’ attention on the main topic of the reading passage and connect some aspects of the topic to their own lives.
