VHE Heater 56 dome with high pressure steam coils. Total coil volume (including manifold) is 298 liter.

GekaKonus High Pressure Boiler : NUK HP 1500

Type : Natural circulation boiler

Boiler design pressure : 95 bar

Boiler water volume : 875 liter

Filling water volume : 1,050 liter (1.2 x boiler water volume)

High pressure piping DN100 selected with

Steam piping : 41m length minimum (please see actual required) Condensate piping : 40m length minimum (see actual required)

This minimum length must comply for water-to-steam expansion requirement. (refer to GekaKonus installation instruction manual) Actual piping length required to suit layout :

High pressure piping actual required to suit layout will be :

DN100 steam piping : 46 m actual length (5 meter more than minimum)

DN100 condensate piping : 43 m actual length (3 meter more than minimum)

DN 50 : 2 pcs for condensate line

Piping specification :

DN100 (4”) schedule 80 seamless carbon steel pipe meeting DIN material grade St 35.8 III standard.

Pipe dimension approx OD 114.3mm x 8.0mm thick minimum. Piping is commonly in 6m length.

As a minimum, all welding joints to be :

- 100% visual examination.

- 10% radiographic examination on randomly selected (completed)

butt welds.

- 10% examination of welding seams by dye penetration test

- hydrostatic tested according to pressure stated in boiler name

plate (together with boiler and VHE heater). Bursting disc and safety

valve to be removed during hydrostatic test.

- welded by certified welder only.

Steam and condensate piping to be slope towards the boiler at least

5% slope which is approximately 3o slope.

Steam and condensate piping to be installed in zig-zag routing (as

shown in 3-D drawing) to cushion the thermal expansion.

Venting valve to be installed at the higher position of the steam

piping.

Insulation requirement :

High pressure boiler already provided with insulation by Gekakonus.

No additional insulation is required.

VHE Heater 56 requires insulation area approx 18m2 of at least 150

mm thickness.

Recommendation of insulation type for VHE Heater :

Fibertex 650 rockwool blanket

Density : ~100 kg/m3

Standard thickness available : 2 x 75mm rockwool

Cladding : Aluminium coil 0.7mm x 4 ft

Accessories : G16 G.I. binding wire, self tapping screw, silicon

sealant

Heat loss from VHE Heater estimated at : 6,000 W

Piping insulation thickness required is minimum 63 mm with total

length estimated 89 meters.
