3. Work on 1a.

(1) Match the pictures with the events. (2) Check the answers in pairs like this:

A: Picture d is English test.

B: Yes, you ’re right. Picture c is party. …

4. Listening practice.

(1) Work on 1b. Listen and circle the events in the conversation. Then check the answers together. (2) Work on 1c. Listen again and fill in the calendar. (3) Check the answers in pairs like the example in 1d. 5. Work on 2a.

(1) Read the expressions in 2a.

(2) Match the activities with the Chinese names.

(3) Check the activities the Ss have at their school.

(4) Talk about the calendar like the sample in 1d. Make

a calendar like the one in 1c.

6. Reading.

(2) Answer the questions and check the Ss’ answers. What activities do they have at school this term?

When is the school trip/ …?

What can the students’ parents do on School Day? (Explain the words “term

” and “can”.)

7. Pronunciation.

(1) Listen and repeat.

(2) Read aloud. Check the Ss’ pronunciation.

(3) Talk about the rules of pronunciation and spelling.

8. Homework(家庭作业)

(1) Read the text in Section B, 2b aloud.

(2) List the activities you like and make a calendar like the chart in the 2b.
