下水时，最后安排启动汽车听发动机的声音，先检查汽车发动机是否有问题，确保汽车不会在路上break down。

检查发动机以后，再补轮胎这样的情节安排应该是合理。

另外，原文的the husband 在续写时应该给出姓名，原因是the husband gave me his business card. Arriving home, I wrote to him and his wife a thank-you note for helping me. Soon afterwards, I received a Christmas present from them. 所以续写时the husband以多年未见的好友(Arthur)身份出现。
