PRODUCT INFORMATION CEMENT SC 4000PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONCEMENT SC 4000 is a two-component adhesive based on Chloroprene rubber (CR).ADHESIVE SYSTEMThe application of CEMENT SC 4000 onto steel surfaces is carried out in combination with PRIMER PR 200. Alterna-tively, PRIMER PR 200 can be replaced by PRIMER PR 500-1 in combination with CEMENT SC 4000 onto the steel sub-strates.FIELDS OF APPLICATIONCEMENT SC 4000 is used especially for the soft rubber lining of areas either on site or in the workshop. CEMENT SC 4000 is in particular applicable for rubber to rubber, rubber to metal, rubber to fabric and fabric to fabric bonding.APPROVALS & CERTIFICATESThe ingredients of CEMENT SC 4000 white are according to CFR 21§175.105 of US Food and Drug Administration FDA permitted for food contact in combination with HARDENER E-40.FEATURES∙ High adhesive strength∙ High dynamic load ability of the bondingCHEMICAL RESISTANCEInformation on the chemical resistance properties is available upon request.SUBSTRATESubstrates are components made of non-ferrous metals, cast iron, non-alloyed or austenitic steel. Components to be rub-ber lined shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with EN 14879-1.SURFACE PRE-TREATMENTAll surfaces to be rubber lined must be dry and free of con-taminants. All contaminants, including non-visible detectable contaminants, must be removed in accordance with DIN TR 55684 or EN ISO 8502.Non-alloyed steel surfaces shall be abrasive blasted to "Near White Metal" in accordance with EN ISO 12944-4. A surface preparation degree of SA 2½ (SSPC-SP 10; NACE No. 2) as specified in EN ISO 8501-1 and a “medium (G)” roughness degree as specified in EN ISO 8503-2 must be achieved. A minimum surface profile of R z ≥ 50 µm is required.To prevent flash rust, the primer must be applied immediately after the blasting and cleaning of the substrate or the compo-nent must be air conditioned to a relative humidity of ≤ 40%.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThroughout the rubber lining process, the temperatures of the substrate and rubber lining materials shall be maintained within the range specified by TIP TOP. All surfaces shall be maintained at a temperature at least 3K above the dew point in order to prevent condensation.APPLICATIONDuring the application of the product, the application instruc-tion must always be observed.CEMENT SC 4000 must be mixed with 4 % HARDENER E 40 intensively until a uniform mixture is achieved. The pot life of the adhesive-hardener mixture is max. 2 hours @ 20°C.CONTACT LIFE (OPEN TIME)First coat: min. 30 min., on metal min.1 hour (*)Second coat: has to adhere slightly to the back of the finger. In case of over drying, apply another coat.Due to its short contact life, CEMENT SC 4000 is an out-standing adhesive for the bonding of rubber sheets under ten-sion (radii and small size parts).(*) The pot life, contact life and waiting time naturally always depend on climate and environmental influences such as ambient temperature, air humidity, ven-tilation etc. Therefore the times indicated are to be understood as guidelines only; the ideal time must be determined locally considering the corresponding climatic conditions.CLEANINGClean all equipment with SOLVENT CF-CE immediately after use.SAFETY MEASURESThe material safety data sheets of the individual compo-nents, the safety instructions on the packing (label) as well as the legal requirements for handling hazardous materials must be observed.CEMENT SC 4000Information given in the fact sheet above corresponds to the current knowledge available to us regarding our products at the time of its drafting and is intended as a guideline for informational purposes. If the gasket is to be subjected to non-static loading and stress fluctuations due to temperature and pressure cycling, it is advisable to select a gasket material which is less prone to embrittlement with increasing temperatures (e.g.KLINGERgraphite laminate,KLINGERtop-chem or KLINGERtop-sil). The pressure is controlled by pressure controller.The following guidelines are designed to ensure the optimum performance of our gasket materials: 1. Choosing the gasketThere are many factors which must be taken into account when choosing a gasket material for a given appli-cation including temperature, pressure and chemical compatibility. Please refer to the information given in our brochure or, for advice to our software program KLINGER®expert. If you have any questions regarding the suitability of material for a given application please contact Klinger Technical Department.2. Gasket thicknessThe gasket should be as thin as technically practical. To ensure optimum performance a minimum thickness/width ratio of 1/5 is re-quired (ideally 1/10).3. Flange conditionEnsure all remains of old gasket materials are removed and the flanges are clean, in good condition and parallel.4. Gasket compoundsEnsure all gaskets are installed ina dry state, the use of gasket compounds is not recommendedas this has a detrimental effect on the stability and load bearing characteristics of the material. In its uncompressed form the gasket can absorb liquid, and this may lead to failure of the gasket in service. To aid gasket removal Klinger materials are furnished with a non sticking finish.In difficult installation conditions, seperating agents such as dry sprays based on molybdenum sulphide or PTFE e.g. KLINGERflon spray, may be used, but only in minimal quantities. Make sure that the solvents and propellants are completely evaporated. Installation instructions 5. Gasket DimensionsEnsure gasket dimensions are correct.The gasket should not intrude into thebore of the pipework and should beinstalled centrally.6. BoltingWire brush stud/bolts and nuts(if necessary) to remove any dirt onthe threads. Ensure that the nuts canrun freely down the thread before use.Apply lubricant to the bolt andto the nut threads as well as to theface of the nut to reduce friction whentightening. We recommend the useof a bolt lubricant which ensures afriction coefficient of between 0.10to 0.14.7. Joint AssemblyIt is recommended that the bolts aretightened using a controlled methodsuch as torque or tension, this willlead to greater accuracy andconsistency than using conventionalmethods of tightening. If using atorque wrench, ensure that it isaccurately calibrated.For torque settings please referto the KLINGER®expert or contact ourTechnical Department which will behappy to assist youCarefully fit the gasket intoposition taking care not to damagethe gasket surface.When torquing, tighten bolts inthree stages to the required torque asfollows:Finger tighten nuts. Carry outtightening, making at least threecomplete diagonal tighteningsequences i.e. 30%, 60% and 100%of final torque value. Continue withone final pass – torquing thebolts/studs in a clockwise sequence.8. RetighteningProvided that the above guidelinesare followed retightening of thegasket after joint assembly shouldnot be necessary.If retightening is considerednecessary, then this should only beperformed at ambient temperaturebefore or during the first start-upphase of the pipeline or plant.Retightening of compressed fibregaskets at higher operatingtemperatures and longer operatingtimes may lead to a failure of thegasket connection and possible blowout.9. Processing Guidelines for RO4400™Bonding LayersThese guidelines were developed to provide fabricators basic information on processing core and foil bonded multilayered printed wiring boards (PWB’s) using RO4450F™, RO4460G2™, and RO4450T™ bonding layers and assorted RO4000® core materials.STORAGE:Upon receipt, all bondply should be immediately moved from the receiving area into a controlled environment. Proper storage conditions would include temperatures between 10°C and 32°C (50°F and 90°F) and protection against exposure to catalytic conditions such as high radiation and ultraviolet light. The bondply should not be stored frozen, refrigerated, or under vacuum. It is best to store the bondply in its heat sealed packaging. Partially used packages should be resealed with tape as the adhesive layers nearest the open end of a package may yellow and harden over time. Material in this condition should be discarded.When properly stored, bondply properties will be maintained for 6 months from the shipment date.A “first-in, first-out” inventory system is recommended.UNPACKING:The RO4400™ bondply is packaged in a dust-free environment, but will collect dust and debris from counter tops. We recommend counter tops be cleaned prior to unpackaging the bondply. Plastic slip-sheeting has been provided to ease separation of individual plies and to shield the bondply from contamination until it is ready for use.TOOLING:Tooling holes can be punched, drilled, or cut. Thin entry and exit materials may be needed to support the bondply through the tooling hole formation process. The slip-sheeting should remain in place through tooling as it will shield the bondply from contamination and should eliminate the risk of individual plies fusing together as the tooling holes are formed. DESIGN AND USE CONSIDERATIONS:The RO4400 bondply materials are recommended forpressing single-lamination or sequentially bonded multilayerconstructions using RO4000® cores. The bondply can be usedin core and foil bonded multilayer boards. The CU4000™ andCU4000 LoPro© sheeted copper from Rogers Corporation isrecommended for use in foil bonded designs using RO4450F™,RO4450T™ and RO4460G2™ bonding layers. CU4000 LoProcopper foils use a thin adhesive layer to promote increasedbond of smooth copper to dielectric layers and results in athickness increase of approximately 0.00035”.Each ply of RO4450F and RO4460G2 bondply will bond to a0.004” (0.101 mm) thickness and each ply of RO4450T bondplywill bond to a nominal 0.0025’’ (0.064mm), 0.003” (0.076 mm), 0.0035’’ (0.089mm), 0.004” (0.101 mm), 0.005” (0.127 mm),or 0.006’’ (0.152mm) thickness (depending upon the grade selected) when pressed between opposing flat surfaces. The actual thickness each ply will add to a multilayer construction is dependent upon the weight and distribution of copper on the inner-layer surfaces.The RO4450F/RO4460G2 bondply layers can fill up to 0.0018” of total copper thickness whether the copper is on one side or split between both sides of the adhesive layer. It should be noted that the maximum copper thickness applies to entire inner-layer surfaces including functional areas of the PWB, venting/flow patterns, plating bars, etc. Additional layers of bondply are required when copper fill requirements exceed 0.002”. The RO4450T bondply offering has multiple glass styles and resin contents available. This allows for more flexibility in stack up designs.Venting patterns should be carefully considered when using RO4400 bondply systems. Vertically off set (non-stacking and non-connected) copper dots are preferred for signal layers. The copper dots can be 0.0150’’ in diameters and spaced on 0.300’’ to 0.350’’ centers. A nearly solid starburst pattern is recommended for venting plane layers. Venting channels on opposing sides of plane over plane inner-layers should not overlap. Vertically stacked copper frames around low-pressure areas (such as IPC coupons and x-ray accessible fiducials) should be avoided when possible.Etched dielectric surfaces should not be mechanically or chemically altered prior to multilayer bonding. Inner-layer metal surfaces should be oxide treated to promote improved mechanical adhesion. Reduced black oxide, brown oxide, and additive or subtractive oxide alternatives have been successfully applied. Inner-layers should be baked for 15-20 minutes at 115o C (239o F) to 125o C (257o F) just prior to preparing the multilayer package for bonding.Contact your local technical services representative for questions or assistance with these guidelines. Also contact your local technical services representative when bonding designs with (1) more than six metal layers, (2) copper layers 35 microns or thicker, (3) plane layers on opposing sides of bondply, or (4) when bonding to FR-4 cores. In some instances, special instructions may apply. For example, bonding pressures approaching 750 PSI may be required ensure proper fill when using single prepreg plies or filling thick copper inner-layers.Recommended Bonding Cycle:The RO4400 bondply resin systems are at their lowest viscosity at temperatures between 100o C (210o F) and 120o C (250o F). Fill of MLBs will benefit by spending 20 minutes in this reduced viscosity temperature window. This can be accomplished by rampingat a rate of 1o C/Min (2o F/Min) from room temperature 100o C (210o F) to 175o C (350o F), or by dwelling between 115o C (240o F) and 120o C (250o F) for 20 minutes. Should the latter approach be chosen, the ramp rates from RT to 115o C and from 115o C to 175o C can be 1.0o C-4.0o C/Min (2o F to 7o F/Min). Care should be taken to not exceed 120o C (250o F) during the 20 minute dwell. Time vs. temperature trials may be required to define requirements for lagging materials. Thermocouples should be included inside the press book when verifying the thermal profile.Vacuum assistance is preferred. Bonding pressures between 400 and 750 PSI (depending upon fill requirements) should be applied before book temperature exceeds 38o C (100o F) and should be used for the entire heating cycle regardless of vacuum assistance potential. Lengthy (>5 minutes) vacuum drawdowns should be avoided. Transfer to a cooling press is allowed after a 60 minute dwell at 175o C (350o F).PTH and Outer-layer Processing:Processing guidelines for RO4003C™, RO4350B™, RO4360G2™, RO4835™, RO4835T™ and RO4000 LoPro core materials are applicable to RO4000 multilayer boards. Multilayer constructions may require desmear as determined by inspection of drilled hole walls.If desmear is required, CF4/O2 plasma is preferred over a traditional chemical desmear process. Shortened exposures to solvent swellers and permanganate should be considered when choosing chemical desmear. 3XA 双面防粘接涂层保持垫片和法兰分离,减少安装和维修时间在安装和检修时无须使用润滑油脂和密剂。
克林格无石棉板材已有百年密封历史,其稳定性好耐高温高压。
是国内首选的进口无石棉材料。
根据不同的工况条件可以选择不同型号的板材。
