五年级下册英语学霸笔记第四单元作文
五年级下册英语学霸笔记第四单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Unit 4: A Trip to the ZooHey guys! I'm super excited to tell you all about our school trip to the zoo last week. It was the best field trip ever! We got to see so many amazing animals up close. When we first arrived, we went to the bird exhibit. There were all sorts of colorful and crazy looking birds! My favorite was probably the flamingos. They are bright pink and have such long, skinny legs. I learned that they get their pink color from the shrimp they eat. How cool is that? We also saw toucans with their massive beaks and beautiful blue and yellow feathers. The zookeeper told us toucans use their big beaks to reach fruit on the highest branches. I wish my beak could do that - it would make snacking so much easier! After the birds, we went to see the big cats like lions, tigers, and jaguars. The lion was sleeping and snoring so loudly! I've never heard anything like it before. The zookeeper said male lions sleep up to 20 hours per day. I don't know how they haveany energy to hunt! The tiger was prowling around and let out a huge ROAR that scared me at first but then I thought it was awesome. The jaguar was my favorite though. It was a spotted golden color with such a cool slinky walk. Jaguars are incredible swimmers and climbers too. I'd love to be as athletic as a jaguar.Next up were the primates - the monkeys, apes, and lemurs. This was probably the most fun exhibit. The zookeeper gave us bamboo sticks with leafy branches to feed the black and white colobus monkeys. They have such funky hairstyles that stuck straight up on their heads! A curious little lemur hopped right over and snatched the branch from my stick. He nibbled it while staring at me with his huge eyes. I've never seen an animal so cute and curious! The gorillas were incredible too. We watched one playing with her baby, grooming it and cuddling it. Even though gorillas look so huge and powerful, they are such gentle parents. After the monkeys, we went to the reptile house to see the snakes, lizards, and turtles. I'll be honest...this one kind of freaked me out at first. There was a huge python behind the glass! The zookeeper said it could easily swallow a human whole. No thank you! But then we saw the turtles which were adorable. I loved watching them slowly sticking their heads out to look around. The zookeeper picked up a little lizard so we could see its sticky toes up close. Apparently they can climb up walls and even across ceilings with those toes. That's one cool superpower! After reptiles, we went to the farm animal section to see the goats, pigs, horses, and cows. The funniest were definitely the goats. They have such funny rectangle-shaped pupils in their eyes! And they loved to climbing up on things and eating anything in sight, even trying to nibble our backpacks. We got to go into the cow pen and actually milk a cow. The warm milk tasted so rich and delicious! The pigs just laid around in the mud, snorting and squealing. I don't get why they enjoy being so dirty and smelly. The horses were beautiful though, especially the black stallion. He was so sleek and muscular. The last stop was the aquarium to see the cool fish, sharks, and dolphins. The clownfish were so bright orange with their black and white striped patterns. I couldn't help laughing at how they swam right up to the glass like they were posing for pictures. Such clowns! We saw huge sharks slowly cruising around and opening and closing their giant jaws. I kept a safe distance from the glass for that one. Finally, we went to the outdoor pool to watch the dolphin show. They jumped so high out of the water and did awesome flips and tricks. Dolphins are incredibly smarttoo - the trainers kept saying how they can learn hundreds of commands and remember them for years. I'd love to be able to train dolphins someday. After all those exhibits, I was exhausted but so happy. I took a million pictures and bought souvenirs like a plush lion, gorilla bookmark, and t-shirt with a cool toucan on it. I can't wait to go back to the zoo again someday. Hopefully some of you can come along next time and we can explore and learn about even more incredible animals together. It's a zoo out there in the best way possible!篇2My Super Awesome English Notes - Unit 4Hi everyone! It's me again, your pal who is like, super good at English. I'm back with more amazing notes to help you all crush it in Unit 4 of our textbook. This unit is all about talking about abilities and talents. So get ready to learn how to brag in English!First up, we need to learn the different ways to say "can" and "can't" to talk about what we can or can't do. The main verbs are:Can - This means you are able to do something. Like "I can run fast" or "My brother can speak French."Can't - This is the opposite, it means you aren't able to do something. Like "I can't whistle" or "My dog can't do math."Could - This is like "can" but for the past. So you would say "When I was little I could barely walk!" or "My grandpa could fix anything."Couldn't - Yep, you guessed it, the opposite of could. "I couldn't stay awake in class" or "My dad couldn't cook to save his life."Those are the basics, but there's more! We also need to learn about being "able to" do things and "having the ability" to do things. It's kinda the same but different ways to say it.Here are some examples:I'm able to speak English and Spanish. My little sister has the ability to do cartwheels. We weren't able to finish our project on time.Does your dad have the ability to change a tire?Pretty cool, right? Using all those different ways to talk about abilities really shows off your English skills. But wait, there's more! We also need to cover talents and skills. When you're really good at something, that's called a talent or skill. Like being able to draw amazing pictures or being skilled at skateboarding. Let me give you some examples:My talent is telling jokes. I'm really skilled at making people laugh.John's skill is playing video games. He's so talented at beating all the levels.Maria doesn't have the talent for singing, but she's a talented artist. What skills and talents do you have? I'd love to hear about them!Okay, now that we've covered all the vocabulary for this unit, let's practice using it all together. I'll tell you about some of my family's abilities, talents and skills:My mom can speak 3 languages - English, Spanish and French. She's so talented! When she was younger, she couldn't ride a bike very well. But now she's skilled at riding long distances. My dad has the ability to fix anything around the house. He could take apart engines and put them back together when he was a teenager. His main talent is working with his hands and building things. In my family, I'm the one with the talent for art and creativity.I love drawing characters and comic strips. I can't really play sports that well, but I do have the ability to run pretty fast. When I was little, I couldn't read at all. But now I'm really skilled at reading above my grade level. My younger brother doesn't have very many talents yet since he's just a kid. But he is able to do cool flips on the trampoline! I couldn't do that at his age. Maybe his talents will be gymnastics or something athletic like that.Phew, that was a lot of examples! But I really wanted to make sure you all get how to use everything from this unit properly. It's important to describe what you and your family can and can't do, and talk about the talents and abilities you have. That way, you can brag about your skills in English!I hope these notes help you feel more confident using all the language from Unit 4. Just keep practicing and you'll be able to talk about talents like a pro. If you ever get stuck, just come askme for help. I'm able to explain things in a way that's easy to understand.Well, that's all for my notes this time around! Let me know if you need any examples or have questions. I'll keep working on my talents at being an amazing English student and making these notes for you all. Thanks for reading, guys!篇3My Awesome Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No school, no homework, just fun all day long. This summer was totally awesome and I did so many cool things. Let me tell you all about it!The first week of summer, my family went on a big trip to Florida. We drove all the way there in our mini-van and it took foreverrrr. But it was worth it because we went to Disney World! I couldn't believe how huge it was. We spent three whole days going to the different parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.Magic Kingdom was my favorite park. I loved riding Space Mountain and Splash Mountain over and over again. The rideswere so thrilling and exciting! We also got to meet lots of Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. I got their autographs and took pictures with them. At night, we watched the amazing fireworks show over the castle. It was magical! At Epcot, we went on some rides but mostly walked around the World Showcase. It had areas set up to look like different countries from around the world. We got to see replicas of famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Pyramids of Giza. In Mexico, we rode a wild river rapids ride and got soaked! I tried different foods from the countries too, like fish and chips from England and sushi from Japan. Most of it was pretty good except for the stinky cheese in France - yuck!Hollywood Studios was cool because it's all about movies and TV shows. We watched an Indiana Jones stunt show that was amazing with real fire and explosions! I also got to star in a Star Wars video and battle Darth Vader himself. From a galaxy far, far away, I became a Jedi hero! The best ride was the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. It was SO fast, with lots of loops and turns. At Animal Kingdom, we went on a super realistic safari ride to see animals from Africa like elephants, giraffes, lions andzebras. We also went on an expedition to explore the ruins of an ancient civilization and spotted gorillas, birds and tigers along the way. The Kali River Rapids whitewater rafting ride got us completely drenched, which was fun because it was so hot outside. After Disney, we drove a few hours to the beach and stayed for four nights in a cool beachfront hotel. I spent my days swimming, boogie boarding, and building awesome sandcastles. My sandcastle was totally epic with a moat, towers, bridges and even a pool in the middle! One day, we went on a boat tour to look for dolphins and other marine life. We saw so many dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water. At night on the beach, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores around the campfire. Yummm! When we got home from the beach, I had a couple weeks before my summer camp started. During that time, I went to the town pool with my friends almost every day. We swam races, played pool games and did cannonballs off the diving board. We also had awesome backyard camping adventures, staying up late telling spooky stories and catching fireflies in jars. Finally, my last few weeks were spent at Camp Winnetonka, a traditional sleep-away summer camp in the woods. We lived incabins, played sports and games, did arts & crafts, and went canoeing and hiking. At night, we had crazy counselors who entertained us with funny skits and magic shows. We also went on an overnight camping trip where we pitched our own tents and cooked hot dogs and s'mores over a campfire. One super fun camp tradition was Mud Day, where we played games like ultimate frisbee and capture the flag but in awhole bunch of mud! We came back to our bunks caked in mud from head to toe. It was so gross but so much fun too!On the last night, we had a huge camp carnival with game booths, food and an awesome talent show where kids showed off cool skills like juggling, telling jokes and doing magic tricks. When it was time to leave camp at the end of the summer, I was totally sad because I had such an amazing time and made so many new friends. But I also couldn't wait to go back to school to show off my camp adventures! That pretty much sums up my incredible summer vacation. From Disney rides to seashores, poolsides to campsites, every day was packed with nonstop fun and adventure. I made so many awesome memories that I'll never forget. Spending quality times with my family and making new friends is what summer isall about. I can't wait for next summer when I get to do it all over again!篇4My Best FriendHey there! It's me again, your friendly neighborhood English star student. Today I'm gonna tell you all about my very best friend in the whole wide world. Get ready for an awesome story filled with fun times, cool adventures, and enough bestie love to make you go "Awwww!"So, let me introduce you to my main pal, Sarah. Sarah and I have known each other since we were just little kids in kindergarten. We met on the very first day of school and hit it off right away. I remember sharing my brand new crayon set with her during art time. From that moment on, we were inseparable besties!Sarah is seriously the coolest girl I know. She's wicked smart, getting straight A's in all her classes. But she's not one of those stuck-up brainy kids, oh no. Sarah is as nice as can be and never makes anyone feel dumb. She always helps me out when I'm struggling with my homework too. What a pal!But brains aren't the only thing Sarah has going for her. She's an amazing athlete and can run super fast. Last year she won first place in the school's annual race! I was cheering her on the whole time. After she got that shiny gold medal, we went out for pizza to celebrate. That's my bestie - smart AND sporty!Speaking of activities, Sarah and I have SO much fun together after school and on the weekends. We take our bikes out and go exploring all over the neighborhood. One time, we even discovered a secret hideout in the woods behind the park! It was this cute little clearing surrounded by trees and bushes. We decided it would be the perfect clubhouse for me, her, and our other bestie Jamal. That's right, Sarah is such an awesome person that she's best friends with both of us. No drama or anything, just three best buds having a blast together.Jamal is hilarious by the way. He's always cracking jokes to make Sarah and I laugh until our bellies hurt. Like this one time, he put on a funny voice and started telling us these crazy stories about being an alien from outer space. Sarah and I were in stitches! Having fun and goofing around never gets old with those two.Oh oh, I almost forgot to mention our favorite thing to do together - have sleepovers! Whenever one of us has a birthdayor there's some other special occasion, we'll have an epic sleepover party. We stay up way later than Mom and Dad would ever allow, watching movies, munching on snacks, and dishing about everything under the sun. Sarah always brings her karaoke machine and we put on concerts for each other too. I'm telling you, we have a FANTASTIC time! But you know, even with all the fun and laughs we share, Sarah means so much more to me than just someone to goof off with. She's been there for me during the hard times too. Like when my dog Buddy passed away a couple years ago. I was absolutely heartbroken and didn't know what to do. Sarah came right over, gave me the biggest hug, and just listened as I cried and cried about how much I missed Buddy. She's such a caring, kind-hearted person who never judges. With Sarah by my side, I knew everything was going to be okay. That's really what makes Sarah my number one bestie - she's got my back no matter what. Whether I'm happy, sad, scared, or anything else, I can always count on her to support me. She's honestly like the sister I never had! We've shared so many special memories over the years that I can't even imagine my life without her in it.I feel so lucky to have an amazing friend like Sarah. She's brilliant, athletic, hilarious, compassionate - she's got it all! From kindergarten besties to best friends forever, Sarah has been by my side every step of the way. I know I can trust her with anything and everything. Here's to you, Sarah...my #1 bestie for life!篇5Unit 4: A Wider WorldHey guys! It's me again, your friendly neighborhood English expert. In this unit, we're going to explore the big wide world out there beyond our borders. Get ready to learn all about different countries, cultures, and how people live their daily lives across the globe. It's going to be an adventure!First up, let's talk about geography. Do you know the seven continents? North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. Being able to find these on a map is pretty important if you want to understand where different countries are located.Speaking of countries, there are almost 200 of them in the world! Each one has its own unique culture, food, language, traditions, and way of life. Some countries you might have heardof are China, India, Russia, Brazil, and Egypt. The United States is a country too, and it's where we live. One of the coolest things about all these different countries is the variety of languages spoken. English is really widespread, but there are thousands of other languages too like Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, and so many more. Knowing multiple languages can really come in handy for travel or talking to people from other cultures.Alright, let's move on to something I know you're all excited about - food from around the world! Different cuisines use such a range of spices, cooking techniques, and ingredients. A few examples are Italian pasta and pizza, Mexican tacos and burritos, Japanese sushi, and super spicy Indian curries. I could go on and on!While food brings people together, clothing is another way cultures express their unique identities. A few traditional styles you might see are kilts in Scotland, dirndls in Germany, saris in India, and kimonos in Japan. Of course, most people in these countries dress pretty similarly to what we wear today liket-shirts, jeans, dresses, etc.One thing that really defines a culture is its celebrations and holidays. You're probably familiar with holidays we celebrate likeChristmas, Halloween, and the 4th of July. But did you know about Diwali, the festival of lights in India? Or Chinese New Year with the famous dragon dances? Every culture has its own very special holidays and ways to celebrate. The best way to really experience another culture is through travel. When you visit a new country, you get to see the sights, try the food, hear the languages, and really immerse yourself in how people live. Some top travel destinations are Paris with the Eiffel Tower, the ancient pyramids in Egypt, the Great Wall of China, and African safaris. The world is full of amazing places to explore! As you can see, the world is an incredibly diverse place full of fascinating people, foods, languages, traditions, and more. We may look different on the outside, but deep down we're all human beings trying to live happy lives. The more we understand and appreciate each other's cultures, the better we can get along as a global community.I hope this whistle-stop tour around the world has opened your eyes to all the incredible diversity out there. We've really just scratched the surface - there's so much more to discover about the wider world. Stay curious, keep learning, and whoknows? Maybe one day you'll get to visit all these amazing places yourself!篇6Unit 4 - Going GreenHey guys! It's me again, your resident fifth grade English expert. Today we're diving into Unit 4 all about going green and protecting the environment. This is such an important topic, so let's jump right in!First up, we need to understand some key vocabulary related to the environment and conservation efforts:Environment - This refers to the natural world around us, including the air, water, land, plants and animals.Pollution - When harmful substances are introduced into the environment, causing damage. Major types are air, water and land pollution.Conservation - Protecting natural resources and ecosystems from being destroyed or overused. We need to conserve things like forests, oceans, clean air and water.Renewable resources - These are resources that can be replenished naturally over time, like solar, wind and water power. Using renewables is way better for the planet!Non-renewable resources - Resources that can't be replaced, such as fossil fuels like oil, gas and coal. We need to cut back on using these up.Whew, that's a lot of new terms! But don't worry, we'll practice using them throughout the unit. Now let's look at some example sentences:Air pollution from factories and vehicles is a major environmental problem in cities. We need to conserve our forests by reducing deforestation and replanting trees.Switching to renewable energy sources like solar and wind power will help fight climate change.Plastic waste polluting our oceans is harming marine life like whales, turtles and fish.Pretty cool, right? See how those vocabulary words help us discuss environmental topics more clearly? Awesome! So what can we do as kids to be more eco-friendly? Well, there are actually lots of easy things we can change in our daily lives:Reduce, reuse, recycle - Cut back on wasting resources by recycling paper, plastic and metal items instead of just throwing them away. You can also reuse things like water bottles and shopping bags!Save energy - Turn off lights when leaving a room, take shorter showers, unplug devices when not in use. Little changes add up.Walk, bike or take public transit - Driving a gas-powered car everywhere isn't great for air quality. Walk or bike short distances, and hop on the bus or train for longer trips.Pack a waste-free lunch - Use reusable containers instead of single-use plastics for your snacks and drinks. Less trash is always better!Start a recycling program - If your school doesn't already recycle paper, bottles and cans, start collecting them yourself! Get your friends involved too.Plant trees and gardens - Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Having a veggie garden can also reduce your carbon footprint from transporting food long distances. There are so many awesome ways we can all pitch in to take care of Planet Earth. Even pequeños cambios (that's "small changes" in Spanish!) can make a huge difference when millions of people do them.Oh, I almost forgot - we're also reading two books this unit that show different perspectives on environmental topics:"The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss is a classic story about the dangers of pollution and deforestation. The Lorax character speaks up for the trees against the greedy Once-ler."One Plastic Bag" by Miranda Paul is about recycling and how one person's actions can inspire change in their community. It's based on a true story from Gambia. Both books teach great lessons about protecting nature that I'm sure we'll have awesome class discussions about. I can't wait!Well, that's all the notes I have for now on Unit 4. Protecting the environment is gonna be one of the biggest challenges our generation faces. But I'm feeling pretty optimistic that if we all work together and make smart choices, we can keep our air clean, oceans unpolluted and planet green for years to come. Gotta tend to this precious Earth of ours!Catch you next time for more fifth grade English awesomeness. Stay eco-conscious, friends!。

1)单数如:a desk(一张桌子)an old desk(一张旧书桌)2)复数:要表示一个以上概念时,要用名词复数形式规则变化(1)一般情况下加-s如book--books(书)desk--desks(书桌)(2)以s ,x ,ch , sh结尾加-es如box--boxes(盒子)bus--buses(公共汽车)注意①以th 结尾加-s, month--months ,②stomach--stomachs(3)以辅音字母+结尾,变y为i再加- es。
如city--cities(城市)country--countries(国家)注意以元音+y,直接加s。
如:day--days(天),boy--boys(男孩)(4)以f或fe结尾,复数变f或fe 为v再加-es 。
