随着时代的发展,越来越多的人们意识到了男女性在工作方面理应受到平等的对待,女性也必然应当在公司中被委以高级职位,然而,也有一些人认为高级职位往往意味着更多的责任与压力,可以会对女性造成不好的影响,你怎么看?
让女性获得高级职位(senior positions)的原因
1. equal rights and opportunities for men and women (平等权利和机会)
2. it avoids discrimination (避免性别歧视= eliminate(消除)gender discrimination)
3. it creates a pleasant work environment(提供舒适的工作环境)to have a better balance of (有…的平衡)the genders in management and senior levels
4. it creates a supportive work environment (提供一个有利的工作环境) for other female employees to know that a certain percentage of management is also female
5. women have valuable skills of communication and diplomacy(交流和外交能力)for high level positions(= senior positions)
反对给女性高级职位的原因
1. it is unrealistic(不现实)to stipulate(保证) a certain percentage of one gender
2. companies cannot be sure that they will receive suitable female applicants(雇佣合适的女性求职者)to fill (担任)a certain percentage of senior positions
3. this forces companies to fulfill percentages even though it maybe to their detriment (对他们有害be to one’s detriment)
4. senior positions should be allocated based on experience, skills and qualifications not gender (高级职位应该基于经验,技能和资历)
