节日类英语作文Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional festival in China. It begins on the
first day of the first lunar month (usually in late January or
early February) and ends on the 15th day of the first lunar month (Lantern Festival). It is the grandest and the most important
annual event for Chinese people. Being one of the traditional
festivals, it is the time for family reunion. On the Lunar New
Year Eve, the whole family will get together and have a big
family feast. On New Year’s Day, people will go to visit their
relatives and friends and get some presents exchanged between
each other while children can get some lucky money from their
parents and relatives. Moreover, people may even put up couplets and set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year.
The Spring Festival was really full of fun. First, on the Lunar New Year Eve, we all gathered around having a dinner. Then followed
the Spring Festival Gala. As we expected, the Spring Festival Gala was really a hit. Many a star turned up on the stage, bringing us so much pleasure that we were drowned in admiring their performances. The midnight saw us setting off the fireworks here and there to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Then we ate dumplings. Dressed up, we
paid a visit door to door at dawn. We do hope we will have a good luck
in the following year and we also do look forward to realizing all our dreams.

The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th of the eighth month of our Chinese lunar calendar. As one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it has been enjoying great popularity in our country. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy we are, we will try to come home for the celebration. The moon that night looks the brightest in the whole lunar month. What we love most is the time we enjoy the full moon together. With the beautiful moon up in the sky, we sit together and
eat moon cakes and fruit, sharing our stories. In addition to these traditional activities, we have a wider range of choices such as travelling and visiting our relatives or friends.
