Where is Harvard University?
Harvard is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the eastern coast of the United States.
After nearly four hundreds years developing, the College has grown from 9 students with a single Master into a University with an enrollment of more than 19,000 degree candidates. There are the following schools in Harvard:

Graduate School of Design
Harvard Divinity School
The school motto of Harvard is “Amicus Plato, Amicus Aristotle, Sed Magis Amicus VERITAS”.It is Latin, in English, it is “Let Plato be your friend, and Aristotle, but more let your friend be truth. ”It is the Harvard students’ criterion of studying and working. Harvard seal is ' Veritas ', ' the truth' in Chinese. Its designing draft was put forward on quilt in 1643, but laid aside in the file unintentionally , have slept for nearly 200 years. The anniversary of the founding of a school, found this pattern accidentally while looking for the history materials of the school in headmaster's Quincy until 200, just introduce it to the teachers and students of Harvard again.

What is “The Three Lies”?
1. Since there are no known portraits of John Harvard, French used a student as a model. 2. Harvard College was not found by John Harvard, but named after him. 3. The college was found in 1636, not 1638, by vote of the Great and General Court of Massachusetts Bay Colony. Some visitors touch John Harvard's shoe for good luck.
Established in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, Harvard was named after its first benefactor, John Harvard, of Charlestown, Massachusetts. Upon his death in 1638, the young minister left his library and half his estate to the new College. In 1639, in recognition of John Harvard's bequest, the Great and General Court ordered "that the college agreed upon formerly to built at Cambridge College called Harvard College."

In July 1775, General George Washington briefly used the House as his headquarters when he arrived in Cambridge to assume command of the Continental Army. He have obtained the honorary degrees in Harvard.
Harvard seeks to identify and to remove restraints on students' full participation, so that individuals may explore their capabilities and interests and may develop their full intellectual and human potential.
Harvard trains countless outstanding graduates. Seven US President graduate from Harvard, such as Franklin. Roosevelt, John. Kennedy and the incumbent president George. Bush.
There are a lot of scientific breakthroughs with great influence in Harvard.
Surgeon Joseph E. Murray is flanked by the world's longest-lived transplant recipient, Edith Helm (left), and her twin sister Wanda Foster.(1956~1996) Initiated the organ transplant new method in the fifties, and succeeded in transplanting the first human kidney.
Harvard strives to create knowledge, to open the minds of students to that knowledge, and to enable students to take best advantage of their educational opportunities.

Robert C. Merton (right), a professor at Harvard Business School, was awarded the 1997 Nobel Prize in Economics. He is pictured with Business School Dean Kim Clark. The school mascot is John Harvard, a pilgrim-like figure in 17th-century dress.
"He will teach that one disinterested deed of hope and faith may crown a brief and broken life with deathless fame." The statue is nicknamed "The Statue of Three Lies."
