My Old School

It was in HeZe, It was smaller and older than this new one. It was only 1300 square meter. The building was lower too. And there was less grass and trees than this new one.

It had four grades and about ten classes. And there were about 200 pupils and teachers in it. They were less than this new school.

The class was from nine o’clock to eleven o’clock. I had lunch at school and then I slept for one hour. After that I had class from one o’clock to three o’clock in the afternoon. I had less homework and more rest time in my old school. But I can learn more in the new school.

My favorite season

There are four seasons in a year: spring、summer、autumn and winter.

I love them very much but the most favorite season is spring.

People said“The whole year’s work depends on a good start in spring.”Spring is a very wonderful season. It’s the morning of the day. It's warmer than winter, cooler than summer and more energetic than autumn. In spring, leaves turn green and flowers turn beautiful. They come out of the ground. The birds sing very well. In spring, we can play outside all day. The air is fresh and it makes us comfortable. Spring always rains, too. Maybe some people don’t like rain because it makes us unhappy. I like the rain very much. Although it makes the ground wet but rice、vegetables and so on all need rain. I love it very much. I love spring because it gets warmer. Animals run out of their holes, it makes me pleasant. Spring is the time for planting. The ground becomes softer and warmer from the rain and the sun.

A Chinese Festival

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is a Chinese traditional festival. We also call it the Spring Festival. It is on lunar January 1st.

On New Year’s Eve,all the people sit around the desk and have a bi g family dinner. There are some vegetables, some fish, some meat, so me fruits and some drink like juice, Coke, Pepsi and some nice wine. Overall, this is a good and delicious dinner. After dinner, we always watch TV New Year progammes. We have a wonderful evening on Ne w Year’s Eve.

On the first day of the Spring Festival, most of people get up early a nd say “happy new year” to each other. For breakfast, people often ea t dumplings and baozi. After breakfast, people often make many delici ous foods, and children often play cards, computer games and firework s. On the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives. Everyone is busy on Chinese New Year, and everyone is happy, too.
