How to keep a balanced diet A balanced diet should be: Varied Moderate Balanced Satisfactory
• The first food group is high in fiber and starches bread, cereal, grains, rice, pasta, potatoes and noodles.
The second food group is fruits and vegetables. You should try to eat at least 5 portions of fruits and vegetables daily.
The third group is dairy products. These foods are rich in calcium, protein, vitamins, and minerals.
Controls Weight
• Obesity is today's main concern. The busy lifestyle is taking a toll on people's health. Eliminating carbs and fats from your diet is only going to do more harm than good. Losing weight is no rocket science. After all, people with diseases also lose weight. In fact, bigger the disease, greater the weight loss. So, it is not starving that is going to make you lose weight, it is eating properly.
