47OPTICAL MEASURING INSTRUMENTS1OPTICAL POWER METERML9001AThe ML9001A is a single-channel digital-display optical power meter.It insures accuracy and linearity over a wide wavelength range and greatly improves measurement reliability. It also has an improved ba-sic performance. For example, measurement can be made over the wide level range from –100 to +20 dBm because internal reflection in the power sensors has been suppressed. The ML9001A also has many new functions which make it easier to use than other power meters.It can be used for all optical power measurements such as optical fiber loss measurement and optical device performance evaluation.Features•Enables high-accuracy measurementThe ML9001A accurately and automatically calibrates all the power sensors within the specified wavelength range and ensures a ±5%accuracy at –23 dBm. It also has a ±0.15 dB linearity (–23 dBm ref-erence value). The ML9001A extends the guaranteed accuracy range of the measured values and enables high-accuracy measurement.•One power sensor for repeater maintenance and long-distancefiber loss measurementThe MA9612A Optical Power Sensor has ultra-high sensitivity . Its mea-surement level range is –100 to ±3 dBm in the 1.3 µm band and it can sense either continuous light or modulated light. A single MA9612A can measure the near-end and far-end outputs of a repeater as well as measure long-distance fiber losses.•Multi-Core fiber cable losses easily measuredFor modulated light measurement, the ML9001A has 12 modulation frequencies including 270 Hz. This meter can easily be used to measure multi-core fiber cable losses by using it with the MG9002A Stabilized Light Source (mounts up to 12 light source units).•Interchangeable optical connectorsThe optical connectors of all the power sensors accept adaptors. This system allows the optical connectors to be interchanged so the ML9001A can be quickly used with various optical connectors. Since the inter-nal coating of the optical power sensors suppresses reflected light,measurement errors are reduced in beam measurement (with or without an optical fiber).•Reduced measurement timeThe ML9001A has a much better response speed and stability than conventional optical power meters. 操作中,请注意如下事项:1.1.1夹取时用力不可太大,防止造成器件损伤;1.1.2使用LED器件时,物体、设备及污染物均不能接触LED器件,避免物体、设备及污染物损伤器件1.1.3须注意防护LED器件表面,特别是胶体的出光面,应避免造成表面损伤从而影响正常出光1.1.4需在LED器件上增加二次光学时,须注意操作过程,避免二次光学损坏LED器件;1.1.5LED器件表面,不能粘有黑色物质及熔点低于150℃温度以下的物质。

仪器10分钟内没有任何按键操作,将自动关机。
屏幕在点亮状态下短按键可使数据进入“保持”状态,LCD右下方显示“HOLD”字样,再短按一次键,退出“保持”状态,进入测量状态,“HOLD”字样消失。
5.2 CAL按键在测量状态且屏幕背光灯点亮时短按“CAL”键可手动校准数据。
按下“CAL”键后,LCD右下方显示“CAL......”,当校准完成后,LCD右下方显示“CAL Finish”并保持两秒后消失表示校准完成,此时LCD上各通道的透光率数据均显示为“100%”(单通道机型显示“100”)。
5.3 MOD按键在测量状态且屏幕背光灯点亮时短按“MOD”键可在红外光透光率测量->可见光透光率测量->紫外光透光率测量->三通道透光率测量->红外光透光率测量四种模式之间循环切换,通道切换时仪器会自动完成校准,无需手动执行校准操作,此功能按键只有三通道机型可用,单通道机型无效。
注意:仪器在熄屏状态下按任意按键只能点亮屏幕,若要执行按键操作需在屏幕点亮状态下进行。
6使用说明6.1开机自检光源与传感器之间不要夹入任何被测物体,长按键开机,仪器3秒左右完成自检并启动,LCD上所有通道都显示100%(单通道机型显示“100”),若开机后透过率不能显示100%,请按下“CAL”键进行手动校准或关机重启仪器。

package:the LEDs should be kept at 18-30℃,related humility:30-70%RH.They should be usedout within 3mothes;2.LEDs should be used out within 24Hs after opening package to avoid the lead frame’s corrode;3.The internal box can not be contacted with ground to prevent absorption of moisture4.No acid,alkali,salt,corrosive and explosive gas;away from sunlight and keep the environment clean;2、Application1.Do not use any unknown chemical liquid to clean LED,it will damage the LED resin surface;use the alcoholunder the room temperature if necessary but less than 1min;2.When forming lead frame,the lead frame should be bent at a point at least 2mm from the base of epoxy.Theforming should be done before soldering which can avoid epoxy’s broken and internal structure’sdamage.Forming must be operated by the specific jig or the qualified operator to make sure the lead frame and distance are as same as the circuit board.Specific is shown as below,Mark:“○”means correct,“×”means incorrect.3.Do not apply any bending stress to the surface of the LED.The stress to the surface may damage the surface ink color and internal connection which causes the electric character&appearance’s failure.4.a.Soldering iron power:under30W;soldering temperature:295℃±5℃;soldering time:within3sec.(only1time);b.Soldering temperature in solder machine:250℃±10℃;soldering time:within5sec.c.Soldering temperature during wave soldering process:230℃±10℃,soldering time:within5sec.5.The LEDs should be soldered at the coordinated position on the PCB;the distance from soldering point to epoxy resin should be3mm at least.If the2nd soldering process required,3mins must be left to ensure the high temperature status can return to room temperature.But the recommended soldering time is only1time in principle.6.If solder the LEDs on one PCB by the soldering iron;do not solder the different lead frames of one LED,but solder in proper sequence;7.Note of Electrical matter:1One-way conduction,LED does not allow the reverse driving;2a.LED is a kind of constant current component which can not be lighted by the constant voltage mode;asmaller voltage fluctuation can cause the large current fluctuation which causes the failure of LED;b.Each LED should be drove under constant current mode if in a parallel circuit design,otherwise,thecolour and brightness will be nonuniform;c.When the environmental temperature rising,the LED junction temperature will rise,internal resistancewill decrease,so the current will be increased by the constant voltage power which short the life span;3If the brightness of lighting source can meet the requirement,we recommend using the driving current less than the rated current,in order to improve the product’s reliability;8.LED is a kind of electrostatic sensitive devises,anti-static measures have to be processed during storage and operation:1LED production workshop should lay anti-static floor and ground connection,the work table have to use the anti-static materials and cover a table mater with the surface resistance of106-109Ω2Production machine:REFLOW,SMT equipment,electric iron,test equipment;all the equipments must be well grounded,and the grounding alternating current impedance should be less than1.0Ω.A fan need to be installed on the equipments and production processes that easy to generate static electricity;theoperators must wear anti-static clothing,shoes,wristband,and gloves,etc.in the process;3LEDs must be contained in the anti-static box,and all the package material should be the Product in opened package for more than a week should be baked for 30 (+10/-0) hours at 85 ~ 100°C.2. When soldering wires to the LED, each wire joint should be separately insulated with heat-shrink tube to prevent short-circuit contact. Do not bundle both wires in one heat shrink tube to avoid pinching the LED leads. Pinching stress on the LED leads may damage the internal structures and cause failure.3. Use stand-offs (Fig.1) or spacers (Fig.2) to securely position the LED above the PCB.4. Maintain a minimum of 3mm clearance between the base of the LED lens and the first lead bend (Fig. 3 ,Fig. 4).5. During lead forming, use tools or jigs to hold the leads securely so that the bending force will not be transmitted to the LED lens and its internal structures. Do not perform lead forming once the component has been mounted onto the PCB. (Fig. 5 )LED Mounting Method1.
