Title: The Art of Web Design。

In the digital age, where virtually everything is interconnected through the vast web of the internet, the significance of web design cannot be overstated. It serves as the digital storefront of businesses, the virtualgallery for artists, and the platform for communication and interaction among individuals worldwide. Thus, crafting a compelling and user-friendly website demands not only technical proficiency but also a keen understanding of aesthetics, functionality, and user experience. At the heart of effective web design lies a seamless fusion of creativity and functionality. It's about striking the delicate balance between captivating visuals and intuitive navigation. A visually appealing website immediately captures the attention of visitors, drawing them into the virtual realm you've created. However, aesthetics alone are insufficient; the design must alsofacilitate effortless interaction and navigation. Users should be able to navigate through the website seamlessly, finding the information they seek without unnecessary hassle. One of the fundamental principles of web design is responsiveness. In an era dominated by smartphones and tablets, ensuring that your website is accessible across various devices is imperative. A responsive design adapts seamlessly to different screen sizes and resolutions, providing users with an optimal viewing experience regardless of the device they're using. This not only enhances user satisfaction but also boosts your website's search engine rankings, as search engines prioritizemobile-friendly websites. Moreover, the importance of user experience (UX) cannot be overstated in web design. A website may have stunning visuals and cutting-edge features, but if it fails to deliver a smooth and intuitive user experience, visitors are likely to abandon it in favor of competitors. Thus, designers must prioritize usability and accessibility, ensuring that every aspect of the website—from navigation menus to form submissions—is intuitive and user-friendly.Accessibility is another critical aspect of web design that often goes overlooked. Designers must strive to make their websites accessible to users with disabilities, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, can navigate and interact with thesite effectively. This involves implementing features such as alternative text for images, keyboard navigation options, and proper color contrast for readability. In the realm of web design, simplicity is often the key to success. While it may be tempting to incorporate flashy animations and complex layouts, excessive design elements can overwhelm users and detract from the core message ofthe website. A minimalist approach, characterized by clean layouts, ample white space, and concise content, not only enhances readability but also creates a sense of sophistication and professionalism.Furthermore, effective web design extends beyond thevisual realm to encompass the underlying structure and functionality of the website. A well-organized site architecture, logical hierarchy of information, and streamlined navigation pathways are essential for guiding users through the website and helping them find whatthey're looking for efficiently. Additionally, designers must pay careful attention to loading times, optimizing images and code to ensure swift page load speeds and prevent user frustration. In conclusion, web design is a multifaceted discipline that requires a harmonious blend of creativity, technical expertise, and user-centric principles. By prioritizing aesthetics, functionality, responsiveness, usability, accessibility, and simplicity, designers can create compelling and intuitive websites that captivate audiences and foster meaningful interactions. In the ever-evolving landscape of the internet, mastering the art of web design is essential for standing out amidst the digital noise and leaving a lasting impression on visitors.。

Traditional culture serves as a rich foundation for design, offering a wealth of inspiration and meaning. It encompasses the collective knowledge, beliefs, customs, and values of a society, providing a unique lens through whichto perceive and interpret the world. By incorporating traditional elements into design, creators can evoke asense of cultural identity, heritage, and belonging. One of the most significant ways traditional culture influences design is through its visual and aesthetic elements. Motifs, patterns, and colors that carry cultural significance can be employed to create designs thatresonate with a specific audience. For instance, in traditional Chinese culture, the dragon is a symbol of strength, power, and good luck, making it a popular motifin Chinese-inspired designs. Similarly, in Japanese culture, the cherry blossom represents beauty, transience, andrenewal, and is often featured in Japanese textiles, ceramics, and architecture.Beyond visual aesthetics, traditional culture also shapes the functional aspects of design. Objects crafted according to traditional techniques and materials embody the wisdom and expertise of past generations. For example, Japanese tea ceremony utensils are meticulously designed to enhance the ritualistic experience of tea drinking. The shape, texture, and weight of each utensil contributes to the overall aesthetic and sensory experience of the ceremony. Moreover, traditional culture can provide insights into user needs and preferences. By understanding the cultural context in which a product or service will be used, designers can create solutions that are both culturally appropriate and user-centered. For instance, in the design of healthcare systems, incorporating traditional healing practices and beliefs can enhance the patient experience and improve health outcomes.Furthermore, traditional culture can foster innovation and creativity. By reinterpreting traditional elements in contemporary contexts, designers can create new andexciting expressions that appeal to modern sensibilities. For example, the traditional Chinese knotting technique has been adapted to create innovative jewelry and home décor. Similarly, traditional Japanese embroidery techniques have been used to create contemporary fashion pieces. In conclusion, traditional culture exerts a profound impact on design, providing a rich source of inspiration, meaning, and guidance. By embracing traditional elements, designers can create meaningful and culturally relevant designs that foster a sense of identity, heritage, and innovation.

Course Design(Thesis) of Chongqing UniversityCultural Compared Between China And U.S.Name: 陈礼权Class NO: 6 4 2Supervisor: 彭见Major: Chemical EngineeringStudent NO: XX6746College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Chongqing UniversityJune XXABSTRACTChina and America, the most two important countries in the world, and the relationship between two countries become more and more important in recent years. But, there are so many similarities and differences between Chinese and American culture. China is a country that has a long history,in the long period cultural accumulation, the traditional culture with Chinese characteristics came into being. Although the United States don’t have such a long history,American culture has become one of the mainstream culture in the world. In this article, I’ll compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and American cultures from three aspects: foods, higher education and U. S. "return to Asia" strategic. I hope we can make some important and useful conclusions.Key words: culture, foods, higher education, U. S. "return to Asia" strategic1 Introduction1.1 Cultural and cross-cultural communicationCulture, it’s a spirit of a nation, means relating to a particular society and itsideas. All of us have our own culture.[1]. In recent years, with the process of globalization, especially the increasing of global trade, it is unavoidable that different cultures will meet, conflict, and blend together. People from different culture find it is hard to communicate not only due to language barrier but also affected by culture styles. So, as a Chinese, it’s very important to understand the western culture, we should learn each other, respect each other, only in this way, can we go further in this world, and make our countrymuch better to compete with others.1.2 The importance of learning about the different culturesAbsolutely, there are so many differences China and western cultures, but we can still find some similarities in both cultures, such as the opinion of everyone has a little dirty laundry inside, east and west home is best,[2].and so on. We should learning these similarities better, because we can go closer with foreign friends through these culture and value in common. Understanding the differences is also important too. Maybe some behaviors is polite or friendly in our eyes, but people who comes from different culture regard it as rude, impolite. After we know these ,we can avoid some embarrassed situation and benefits a lot.We have already compared so many between China and America in our class, and here I’d like to list three of these: foods, higher education, politics.2 Comparison2.1 FoodsChinese people think food is very important to them. The Chinese food not only is very delicious and tasty but also very pleasing to your senses and many of dishes have very beautiful and fancy names. The Chinese have the food culture of our own which are quite different from westerners. In the west, people pay more attention to the nutrition of food rather than the looks of it. And the cuisine and table manners are quite different from ours in a great extent. The foods differences is obviously, what make these differences? The different diet culture between China and the United States as a result of different cultural backgrounddifferences in values and thinking mode.[3]. American is a typical immigration country, so people's eating habits in the United States is largely influenced by closed his pay attention to efficiency and diversification. However, Chinese people are influenced by traditional Confucian, Taoist thought, diet is not only a way of communication, at the same time, the different diet culture also contains a different psychological views and understanding of things with people.2.2 Higher education[4]US’s higher education was considered as the best education in the world. The Chinese and America’s education has extremely different traditional. China’s education pays more attention to the instilling and accumulation of knowledge, cultivating the students’respect to the knowledge and authority and building the ability to inherit the knowledge system. Compared with Chinese higher education, US pays great attention to train the students’ practice ability ti utilize the knowledge, cultivating the students’ question to the knowledge and authority and building the ability to extend the knowledge system.International cooperation and exchanges in education have increased year by year. China has the most students studying abroad in the world. New trends in Chinese higher education are attracting the attention of educators around the world and we are learning the style of US’s higher education. Since China began to develop a Western-oriented university model at the end of nineteenth century, Chinese higher education has continued to evolve. With the tremendouseconomic development in China has stimulated reforms in higher education that have resulted in remarkable change.2.3 U. S. "return to (本文来自:小草范文网:关于设计的英语论文)Asia" strategicSince the Obama administration took office, Sino-U. S. relations have witnessed a smooth transition and maintained a good momentum of development. However, toss a few years has been the so-called U. S. "return to Asia", is the U. S. strategic focus from Europe to Asia-Pacific region as a direct response.[6].For the past decade years, American involved in the international terrorist, left less energy in the Asian-Pacific region. But now, with the rise of the Asia-Pacific region, especially China. Given rapid economic development of Asian countries over recent years and the gradual formation of a new type of cooperation pattern, the United States is afraid to miss the express train of Asia's development and accordingly lose its dominance of regional affairs. The U.S. move to "return to Asia" aims to gain more interests from Asia's regional development and cementits dominant position in Asia. So, America has made it clear that the United States will shift its strategic focus to Asia in the future.Apparently, the U. S. "return to Asia" brings lots of challenges to China, economic, military, as well as political. Many scholars believe that the reassertion of the leading U.S. role in Asia is directed against China because only China's rise can pose a potential challenge to its hegemony. Furthermore, a few Asian countries hope to take advantage of the United States, especially its military power, to strike a so-called strategic balance with China. So ,Chinese have to extend our influence in these region to compete with America, and bridge gap between our neighbor countries. In face of the troubles which America have brought us, such as Diaoyu islands issue with Japan, Huangyan Islands with Philippine, in my eyes, Chinese government should take a firm stand on these stir. China is a large country in the world, we should present our importance to the world and maintain our dignity and benefits. Meanwhile, we should make our best efforts to ensurethe peace in these region. The United States' status in Asia ultimately depends on its input. It should play a more constructive role in promoting the regional economic development and cooperation in multiple fields, instead of expanding its military presence to show off its irreplaceability because it has proven to be a dead end. Certain Asian scholars are worried that once the United States finds itself unable to maintain its leading role, it may extort more money from Asian countries in the name of protection and even stir up trouble by playing dirty tricks.Maybe there are some different benefits and values between two countries, but on the other hand, the understanding of each other maybe more important, win-win cooperation, lose in fight, it’s a common sense for us. The interests of the US and China increasingly overlap in East Asia, which may lead to conflicts, but integration as well. As the US and China have no choice but to co-exist with each other in the region, why not make it an opportunity to construct a new model of relations between big countries, instead of abattlefield of confrontations?3 ConclusionAs a university student , I hope I can study abroad in western countries on some one day , America is a ideal place for me, so, learning something about America before enter there it’s very important. During a time of almost four months, through this semester of study, i learned a lot of knowledge about America, especially the differences between China and America. We talked about many topics in class, such as festivals, religions, economics ,and so on. There is a saying,’ do in Rome as Rome dose’, the importance of proficient in America’s culture is obviously, so, I think these classes help me set the stage for that day when I go there. I know what’s the polite and friendly behavior, how to communicate with a America friend, whether a topic should we talk or not when we are get along.Perhaps the cultural shock is inevitable, of course, the symptoms of cultural shock can appear at different times. These stages are present at different times and we all have our own way of reacting in the stages ofculture shock. Maybe I will experience a real pain from culture shock, but I have learned so much in our class, I have enough confidence to control it, I have known their thinking models, problem-solving methods, and many other customs, I believe I will adapt it soon. Moreover, we can find out the similarities between us, and learn to respect each other, instead of conflict, we can communicate with each other, because we all want a bright future, and we can do it! Something of fashionSummary: First, fashion is a general term for a popular style or practice, especiallyin clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, or furniture. Secondly, EarlyWestern travelers, whether to Persia, Turkey or China frequently remarkon the absence of changes in fashion there, and observers from theseother cultures comment on the unseemly pace of Western fashion, which many felt suggested an instability and lackof order in Westernculture. Next, this article is mentioned the fashion industry is a productof the modern age. Fashions may vary considerably within a societyaccording to age, social class, generation, occupation, and geography aswell as over time.It is also very important to acknowledge Easternfashion. In recent years, a strong influence of Eastern fashion hasentered the fashion world and pop culture. About this, we need to talkabout the contribution of fashion designers in fashion .Finally,Think youknow everything there is to know about fashion? We're betting thateven the most hard-core fashionistas won't know some of this styletrivia. Prepare to be amazed (and a little shocked).Key words:Fashion Western travelers Western culture Fashion industry Fashiondesigners Style triviaFashion is a general term for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, or furniture. "Fashion" refers to a distinctive; however, often-habitual trend in a look and dress up of a person, as well as to prevailing styles in behavior. "Fashion" usually is the newest creations made by designers and are bought by only a few number of people; however, often those "fashions" are translated into more established trends. The more technical term, "costume," has become so linked in the public eye with the term "fashion" that the more general term "costume" has in popular use mostly been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while the term "fashion" means clothing generally, and the study of it. For a broad cross-cultural look at clothing and its place in society, refer to the entries for clothing, costume, and fabrics. The remainder of this article deals with clothing fashions in the Western world.Early Western travelers, whether to Persia, Turkey or China frequently remark on the absence of changesin fashion there, and observers from these other cultures comment on the unseemly pace of Western fashion, which many felt suggested an instability and lack of order in Western culture. The Japanese Shogun's secretary boasted (not completely accurately) to a Spanish visitor in 1609 that Japanese clothing had not changed in over a thousand years. However in Ming China, for example, there is considerable evidence for rapidly changing fashions in Chinese clothing. Changes in costume often took place at times of economic or social change (such as in ancient Rome and the medieval Caliphate), but then a long period without major changes followed. Another thing that happened change costume was technology. With technology, the sewing machine was created and made mass production possible. As a result, it made the production of clothes easier, and cheaper, it also helped to boost the economy. This occurred in Moorish Spain during the 8th century, when the famous musician Ziryab introduced sophisticated clothing-styles based on seasonal and daily timings from his native Baghdad and his own inspiration to C órdoba in Al-Andalus. . Ziryab inspired the dress ofMen and women, and some people even say the way they decorated their house. Men who used to wear their hair long and parted, now wore it up and a crown around it. The dress of men changed as well, in the spring they wore bright colors, loose garments for the summer, and fur hats for winter. However, the men were not the only ones inspired by this fashion, the women wore scarves which had lyrics embroidered on them. One can see how Ziryab truly made an impact and touched the hearts in Spain, and how the people aspire to dress and be like him. Similar changes in fashion occurred in the Middle East from the 11th century, following the arrival of the Turks, who introduced clothing styles from Central Asia and the Far East. The fashion industry is a product of the modern age. Prior to the mid-19th century, most clothing was custom made. It was handmade for individuals, either as home production or on order from dressmakers and tailors. By the beginning of the 20th century—with the rise of new technologies such as the sewing machine, the rise of global capitalism and the development of the factory system of production, and the proliferation of retailoutlets such as department stores—clothing had increasingly come to be mass-produced in standard sizes and sold at fixed prices.Although the fashion industry developed first in Europe and America, today it is an international and highly globalized industry, with clothing often designed in onecountry, manufactured in another, and sold world-wide. For example, an American fashion company might source fabric in China and have the clothes manufactured in Vietnam, finished in Italy, and shipped to a warehouse in the United States for distribution to retail outlets internationally.Within the fashion industry, intellectual property is not enforced as it is within the film industry and music industry. To "take inspiration" from others' designs contributes to the fashion industry's ability to establish clothing trends. For the past few years, WGSN has been a dominant source of fashion news and forecasts in steering fashion brands worldwide to be "inspired" by one another. Enticing consumers to buy clothing by establishing new trends is, some haveargued, a key component of the industry's success. Intellectual property rules that interfere with the process of trend-making would, on this view, be counter-productive. In contrast, it is often argued that the blatant theft of new ideas, unique designs, and design details by larger companies is what often contributes to the failure of many smaller or independent design companies.Fashion is a term commonly used to describe a style of clothing worn by most of people of a country. A fashion usually remains popular for about 1-3 years and then is replaced by yet another fashion. Even though there are a lot of changes in fashion, most people do not easily except the changes.Fashions may vary considerably within a society according to age, social class, generation, occupation, and geography as well as over time. If, for example, an older person dresses according to the fashion of young people, he or she may look ridiculous in the eyes of both young and older people. The terms fashionista and fashion victim refer to someone who slavishly follows current fashions. It is also very important to acknowledge Eastern fashion. In recent years, a strong influence of Eastern fashion has entered the fashion world and pop culture.About this, we need to talk about the contribution of fashion designers in fashion .Fashion designers always attempt to design clothes which are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. They must consider who is likely to wear a garment and the situations in which it will be worn. They have a wide range and combinations of materials to work with and a wide range of colors, patterns and styles to choose from. Though most clothing worn for everyday wear falls within a narrow range ofconventional styles, unusual garments are usually sought for special occasions, such as evening wear or party dresses.Countries such as China, India, and Pakistan have an enormous textiles industry; as well as; evolving fashion that is closely related to their culture. This fashion has always been an inspiration for fashion designers all over the world [15] . Each year, collections are released with Orient and Indianinfluences. Celebrities have been seen supporting "bindis" and "saris" at red carpet events.Think you know everything there is to know about fashion? We're betting that even the most hard-core fashionistas won't know some of this style trivia. Prepare to be amazed (and a little shocked).1、Queen Elizabeth I is responsible for the whole British hat thing. If you're wondering why our stylish friends across the pond seem to top off every event with a hat, you can stop wondering. The British tradition of wearing hats to most formal occasions is often credited to Queen Elizabeth I. In 1571, during her rule, a law was created that mandated that anyone over the age of seven must wear a hat on Sundays. And while the law is long gone, there are some events that still seem to have an unofficial hat dress code, including horse races, garden parties and weddings—like Kate Middleton and Prince William's, if and when they ever decide to get hitched.2、New York City: birthplace of Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and…the thong. While the loincloth has popped up in history everywhere from medieval times to ancient Egypt, the modern G-string is rumored to have been born in New York City, near the end of the Depression. In 1939, New York City mayor Fiorello LaGuardia ordered the city's exotic dancers to be more covered up in honor of the World's Fair. And, voila, the thong—as well as the unfortunate whale tail—was born.3、Your shoe addiction is nothing compared with Imelda Marcos'.When the former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos and her husband were kicked out of their palace and exiled in 1986, she had to say goodbye to 2,700 pairs of pumps, stilettos and slingbacks. That's 5,400 shoes. But before you get too jealous, remember: This was a time before all the designer booties and sky-high wedges we've been drooling over recently.4、Marilyn Mooe had a pricey birthday suit.Diamonds might be a girl's best friend, but rhinestones aren't so bad either. Especially when 6,000 of them adorn a flesh-color gown worn by Marilyn Mooe. The dress that the original blond bombshell wore whiledelivering JFK's birthday serenade at Madison Square Garden in 1962 fetched more than $1.26 million at a Christie's auction in 1999.5、Witch of the West wasn't the only one who hada thing for Dorothy's shoes. In XX, someone swiped one of the original pairs of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz from a Minnesota museum. The pricey shoes—with an estimated value of somewhere between $660,000 and $1 million—have yet to be recovered, though it's doubtful anyone could get away with wearing them without attracting attention. (Unless of course she planned to debut the stolen shoes at Wicked.)6、Marie Antoinette wasn't into showing skin. While Kirsten Dunst played a flirty Marie Antoinette—complete with bedroom eyes and low-cut necklines—the real teen queen was so modest that she always wore a flannel gown buttoned up to her neck while bathing! To be fair, though, if you had a slew of staff huddled around the tub, you'd probably want to stay under wraps too.7、The wedding dress that keeps on going, and goingand going…No runaway bride here: A Chinese woman recently broke the record for the longest wedding train. The 1.2-mile-long train took 200 guests a whopping three hours to uoll. And in case the thing wasn't obvious enough on its own, it was adorned with 9,999 silk red roses.8、Fashion shows can be squeezed into one day.As many of you style-ophiles know, New York Fashion Week boasts more than 75 shows in a span of just eight days. And while there's one (sometimes two) scheduled to take place every hour from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M., the fashion show itself lasts only about 15 minutes max. That means that Fashion Week's total models-on-the-catwalk time tallies up to about 19 hours. Now, if only that fashion marathon were on pay-per-view. There are several phases and processes in the user interface design some of which are more demanded upon than others depending on the project. (note for the remainder of this section the word system is usedto denote any project whether it is a web site, application, or device)Functionality requirements gathering - assembling a list of the functionality required of the system to accomplish the goals of the project and the potential needs of the users.User analysis - analysis of the potential users of the system either through discussion with people who work with the users and/or the potential users themselves.Typical questions involve:What would the user want the system to do?How would the system fit in with the users normal workflow or daily activities? How technically savvy is the user and what similar systems does the user already use? What interface look & feel styles appeal to the user?Information architecture - development of the process and/or information flow of the system (i.e. for phone tree systems, this would be an option tree flowchart and for web sites this would be a site flow that shows the hierarchy of the pages).Prototyping - development of wireframes, either in the form of paper prototypes or simple interactive screens. These prototypes are stripped of all look & feel elements and most content in order to concentrate on the interface.Usability testing - testing of the prototypes on an actual user—often using a technique called talk aloud protocol where you ask the user to talk about their thoughts during the experience.Graphic Interface design - actual look & feel design of the final graphical user interface (GUI.) It may be based on the findings developed during the usability testing if usability is unpredictable, or based on communication objectives and styles that would appeal to the user.。

Title: The Art of Design and Creation。

Introduction:Design and creation are integral parts of human innovation and expression. From architecture to technology, from literature to art, the process of designing and creating shapes the world around us. In this essay, we will explore the essence of design and creation in the realm of English composition.Understanding Design in English Composition:Design in English composition involves the deliberate arrangement of words, sentences, and paragraphs to convey meaning effectively. Just as an architect plans the layout of a building, a writer must carefully structure their composition to achieve clarity and coherence. The first step in designing an English composition is to establish a clear purpose or thesis. This serves as the foundation upon which the rest of the piece is built. Much like an architect's blueprint, the thesis outlines the overarching structure and direction of the composition.Next, consideration must be given to the organization of ideas. Designing the flow of information ensures that the reader can follow the writer's train of thought without confusion. This may involve employing chronological order, spatial order, or other organizational frameworks, depending on the nature of the topic.Furthermore, attention to detail is crucial in the design process. Just as an interior designer selects furnishings and decor to complement a space, a writer must choose words, phrases, and rhetorical devices that enhance the overall impact of the composition. This includes crafting vivid descriptions, employing literary devices such as metaphor and symbolism, and maintaining consistency in tone and style.Creation in English Composition:While design provides the structure, creation infuses the composition with originality and artistry. Writing is not merely about conveying information; it is also a form of creative expression. One aspect of creation in English composition is the generation of ideas. Whether drawing from personal experiences, conducting research, or engaging in imaginative exploration, writers must constantly seek inspiration to fuel their creativity. This process often involves brainstorming, freewriting, and experimentation to discover unique perspectives and insights. Moreover, creation in English composition encompasses the crafting of language itself. Just as a sculptor molds clay or a painter applies brushstrokes, a writer manipulates words to evoke emotion, provoke thought, and engage the senses. This may involve employing literary techniques such as imagery, irony, and alliteration to captivate the reader's imagination.Revision and refinement are also vital aspects of the creative process. Like a sculptor who iteratively shapes their sculpture until it achieves perfection, a writer revises their composition multiple times to enhance clarity, coherence, and impact. This may involve restructuring sentences, refining language, and strengthening argumentsto elevate the overall quality of the piece. Conclusion:In conclusion, design and creation are fundamental to the art of English composition. Through careful planningand thoughtful execution, writers transform ideas into eloquent expressions that resonate with readers. By mastering the principles of design and nurturing their creative instincts, writers can craft compositions that inspire, inform, and endure. As we continue to explore the boundless possibilities of language, let us remember that the journey of design and creation is as enriching as the destination itself.。

With the advent of the digital age, the significance of network design has become increasingly prominent. Whetherin the realm of business, education, or personal communication, an efficiently designed network infrastructure is crucial for seamless connectivity and optimal performance. In this essay, we will delve into the key aspects of network design, its importance, challenges, and strategies for effective implementation.First and foremost, network design encompasses the architecture, configuration, and maintenance of interconnected systems that facilitate communication and data exchange.

We also made sure that the website was responsive, meaning it could be easily viewed on different devices such as desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. To make the website easy to navigate, we organized the information into clear categories and used intuitive icons to represent each category. We also included a search bar to allow users to quickly find what they were looking for.One of the challenges we faced was how to display a large amount of information without overwhelming the user. We solved this by using collapsible sections and tabs to break up the content into manageable chunks.Overall, the client was very happy with the final product and we received positive feedback from users as well.

7) Excellent appreciation of form and the interaction of positive and negative space.
8) Portfolios should have clear progression of the idea from fluid sketch to detailed sketch to 3D model, GA's are not enough! At least one fully detailed and toleranced part drawing of an injection moulded product, good clear photos of a good model... no poorly scanned sketches!
3) Have to know a Vector based package (such as Freehand or Illustrator 7) and a Raster based package (such as Photoshop or Photostyler)
4) 3D Modelling skills in 1 high end package such as Pro/E, Alias, Catia, I-DEAS or to a lesser extent 1 mid-range package like Solidworks 98, Form Z, Rhino 3D, 3D Studio Max etc
Rendering skills are rapidly being surpassed by software: 10 years ago: Final renderings with pastels and markers 5 years ago: Final renderings with Photoshop and Illustrator Now: Final renderings with Photoshop and Alias or Pro/E + 3D Studio Max
5) 2D CAD skills in Autocad, Microstation or Vellum as a fall back position.
6) Self starters with good presentation and interpersonal skills (able to think on their feet at a client meeting and make a case for the concept), report writing (researching and understanding a detailed brief, documenting the design decision process, QA documentation) any industry experience a bonus (work experience, prior employment, field trips to industrial sites such as car manufacturers, plastic injection moulding plants, toolmakers etc).
10) All consultancies operate on an hourly fee basis and their designers must document time spent on each project accurately. Time management skills are vital as are an indication of how long the 3D renderings, models and detailed drawings took to complete. Employers want to start making money with the graduate very soon!
2) Good model making ability in foam, plaster, resins, MDF board including at least an awareness of Rapid Prototyping technologies such as SLA, SLS, LOM, silicon rubber castings, investment casting, soft tooling options etc.
According to leading Australian ID consultancies September 1998)
Survey conducted by University of Canberra Industrial Design Department
1) Sketching and freehand drawing ability have to be excellent... designers have to be fast and fluid, not slow and considered. No polished rendering now required, but basic quick sketch rendering still worthwhile. FASБайду номын сангаас and loose is the key.
9) A solid understanding of the product development process and how ID fits with marketing (concept of designing for particular price points and niche markets) another bonus. A good understanding of industrial techniques such as extrusions, laser cutting, fasteners, welding, sheet metal production, composites, blow moulding, injection moulding for electronic products (no Escher products or poorly thought out part lines!). Ability to understand and design basic membrane switches a bonus.
