Good morning, my dearest teachers. Today it’s my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you .The content of the lesson is New Senior English for China Students Book 2 Unit 4 《Wildlife protection》,the second period of the reading part--How Daisy learned to help wildlife. Now I will begin my lesson from the following seven parts: the teaching material; the learning situation; the learning goals; the important and difficult points; the teaching and studying methods; the teaching procedure and the blackboard design.
First, let me talk about the teaching material.
Part 1 teaching material
This unit is about the importance of wildlife protection. It refers to the living conditions of some endangered animals, how to protect wild animals and awareness of our protecting wild animals. The reading passage -- How Daisy learned to help wild life is the center of this unit. It introduces a girl called Daisy dreamed of communicating with three kinds of endangered animals and then she was aware of the importance of wildlife protection. The passage is made up of three paragraphs, that is, why we need wildlife protection, a good example of wildlife protection and what we get from wildlife protection. So it is the most important teaching material, which contains most of new words and expressions and grammar points in this unit.
Part 2 the learning situation
The students are familiar with this topic, and most of them are interested in wild animals. What’s more, the students of Senior One have already mastered some reading skills, such as skimming and scanning. Meanwhile, they can also discuss in groups when it comes to some questions. However, a few students can not understand the passage very well because of their poor English Basis.
Part 3 the learning goals
Knowledge goals:
1.To master some new words and expressions.
2.To learn some basic information about wildlife protection.
Ability goals:
1.To use reading skills--skimming and scanning to get the main idea and the detailed information of the passage.
2.To encourage students to express their attitude towards wildlife protection. Emotional goals:
1.To understand the importance of wildlife protection.
2.To know how to help and protect wild animals.
Part 4 the important and difficult points
The important points:
1.To help students get a main idea of the passage and some detailed information as well.
2.To understand the importance of wildlife protection and do something for wildlife. The difficult points:
