雅思写作中“路标词”（Transition Signals ）的使用

在雅思写作中合理地使用连接词可以更有逻辑地连接句子内部成分、句与句之间、以及段落与段落之间的信息。因为连接词会在作文当中帮助考官更好、更快速地理解考生的行文思路和中心思想，所以我在这里将其称之为路标词，也就是读者通过看着路标来更好地理解作文主旨和写作构思。今天为大家介绍几个路标词以及它们的用法。

一、.表示“附加”的besides.该词的意思为：此外、除了……

用作介词：Besides working as a doctor, he also writes novels in his spare time.

用作副词：I don’t really want to go. Besides, it’s too late now.

二、用作表示“顺序”的词组following this/that，意思为：此后……

The President just delivered a speech in Colorado. Following this, he met some influential politicians in The Senate.

三、用于表示“结果”的as a result，意思为：结果……

An increasing number of people get to work by public transport nowadays. As a result, traffic jam in this city is no longer a problem.

四、用于表示“尽管，虽然”的despite.注意该词表示该意思时只有介词功能。Despite applying for hundreds of jobs, he is still out of work.

五、用于表示“肯定”的plainly，意思为：清楚地、显然地、直接了当地。Plainly the laws here are not effective here.

六、用于表示“条件”的provided（that），意思为：假如……
