Teachers and classmates, welcome to Mingtong Middle School's "Qianhe Rock Culture Art Workshop."

This workshop adheres to the purpose of the school art community "My hands paint my heart", mainly to cultivate students' innovative thinking ability and hands-on ability, to stimulate students' artistic imagination and ability to observe things, understand life and express life.

All inspiration for art creation comes from life. Therefore, students' independence, self-confidence, and creativity are also fully utilized in the creative process.

The three-dimensional sculpture sand table work we exhibited here was completed by the students under the guidance of the teachers. The content of the work is based on the view from the predecessor of Mingtong Middle School (old middle school) to the current Mingtong Middle School site. It is shaped by carving, molding, engraving, dyeing and painting.

Founded in 1958, Mingtong Middle School is located in the mountainside of Mingtong Jinzi. It is the site

of the enlightened gentleman Xu Zhilin's manor. It was originally called “No. 2 Middle School in Chengkou”. In 1982, the school was moved to Nikengba, Leyuan Road in Mingtong (present school address). In 1984, Mingtong Middle School was changed from Daimao high school to a vocational middle school. In 1995, due to the demand of “universal nine-year compulsory education”, the high school class was closed and junior high school class instead. At present, the school covers an area of 34,500 square meters. It has 105 faculty members, 30 teaching classes, and more than 1,600 students. It will reach more than 1,700 this fall.

The teachers’ dormitory, the teacher and student canteen, the comprehensive building and the experimental building will come into your view one by one.
