教材的地位与学情分析:

本单元是新目标英语教材的第一个预备单元,预备篇是为了使那些没有英语基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的。总体内容不多,也不是很难,关键是做好一个衔接工作,根据学生的认知特点和心理特点,通过多样化的、趣味性的学习活动,让没基础的同学克服心里的畏难情绪,感觉到英语不难又很有趣;让有基础的同学更进一步培养起对英语学习的兴趣和自信。学生通过学习本单元内容,学习、巩固与应用英文字母A到H,礼貌问候用语的学习可以帮助他们树立“以礼待人”的良好行为意识,帮助他们建立正确的道德观。

教学目标:

1)知识目标:A.学习和使用字母A到H;

B.学习使用基本的礼貌问候用语;

C.学习相关的缩略词。

2)能力目标:A.掌握元音字母A、E的发音规律,提高学生的辨音能力;

B.学会向别人有礼貌地问候;

C.培养学生观察生活、捕捉信息的能力。

3)情感目标:A.通过本单元的学习,使学生从小养成礼貌待人的良好行为习惯;

B.通过学生对英语的初步学习,激发他们的学习兴趣和求知欲。

教学重点、难点:

重点: A. 熟练掌握字母A至H;

B. 掌握基本的问候用语。

难点: A.掌握元音字母A和E在单词中的发音;

B.学会如何用简单的日常用语向别人问候。

课时安排:3 课时。

第一课时:Greetings: 1a,1b,1c,3a,3b,3c,3d

第二课时 Letters : 2a,2b.2c.2d ,2c and International Phonetic symbols: 第三课时: Revision and 4a,4b,4c ,4d

教学过程:

Period One

教学目标:

1. 识别和掌握八个人名。

2. 学会不同时段打招呼的用语。

3.学习熟识朋友见面的问候语和应答。

Language points.

1.词汇:Alice, Bob, Cindy, Dale, Eric, Frank, Grace, Helen

2.句型:Hello! /Hi/Good morning/Good afternoon/ Good evening/How are you? I’m

fine,thanks.How are you? I’m OK.

Difficulties: 用英文名字来跟朋友打招呼问候。

Step1. Warming-up

1.T wears a name card with an English name on it, then points to the name card and have an introduction.

2. Greet the whole class and help them to say,

Hello, …Good morning, …

师生初次见面,教师通过自我介绍和问候学生,让学生放轻松,消除与教师间的陌生感,开始亲近教师。

Step2. Presentation.1a

Show a picture of a girl and give the name under the picture, teach Alice. In the same way teach the other seven names.Then read these names after teacher.

Look at 1a and write down the names in the picuture.

图画和名字结合起来,加强学生的感性认识,有助于记忆。并为后面的游戏做好了铺垫。

教师可根据本班学生实际情况,适当增加一些boys’names and girls’ names.并鼓励学生给自己取个英文名。

Ss practice the conversations in pairs. T moves around the classroom when Ss are practicing. Give them some help if needed.

Ask Ss to practice greeting each other. They can use their Chinese names if they wish. Encourage them to use their English names if they can. Ask them to practice using all the different greetings taught in Activity 1a.

鼓励学生尽可能用自己刚才得到的英语名字进行操练,不会读的可以请教老师。当然允许他们使用自己的中文名字进行练习。关键是要鼓励学生大胆开口,愿意说的良好习惯

Step 5. listening practice 3a .

T:Look at the picture 1. What can you see?

Help students to answer: two children (Helen and Dale) ,a clock

What time is it? Ss: It’s seven o’clock.

When you meet someone in the morning, how do you greet him or her or them.

用同样的方法教学:Good afternoon, Good evening.

注意区别:Good night!

Then listen to the tape and number the pictures1-3 and check their answers.

Step 6. 3b. Practice the conversations in 3a with your partner.

Then ask several groups to practice . They can use their Chinese or English names.

Step 7. Listening practice 3c .

T: Look at this picture .

Questions: 1. Who’s the boy?

2 . Who’s the girl?

3. What time is it ?

4. How do they greet when they meet?

拓展:---How do you do ? ---How do you do?

----How are you?---- I’m fine/very well/I’m OK / Not bad/ Just so-so…

T hen let Ss Listen and repeat.

Step 8. Practice 3d

Make conversations by your English names with your partner and then ask some pairs to act. Step 9.Homework:

1.Make a name card like the teacher’s by themselves and learn how to read their

own names.

2. Make some conversations with their classmates.

Period Two

教学目标:

1.学会正确朗读和书写Aa-Hh八个字母。

2.了解一些常用缩略字的含义。

3.巩固所学见面的问候语和应答。

4.记住自己和同伴的英文名字。

Language points

词汇:自己和同伴的英文名字。

Difficulties: 八个字母的正确书写和记住尽可能多的名字与一些缩略词。

Step1. Warming-up

Greet all the Ss with : Hello, … or Good morning, … using their English names.

(Ask all the students to wear their name cards like T) At the same time let them repeat their names and try to remember their names. 让学生佩戴名字卡,可以让师生早日熟悉对方,也便于学生之间的互相了解。通过打招呼既复习了旧课,也可以让学生正确读出自己的名字,学会如何用自己名字与朋友交流。
