1.Teaching objectives
1)Knowledge objectives:
More than 90% students can master the new words,like add up,upset,ignore,calm...down, have got to,be concerned about,walking the dog , get loose and so on.Get the students to learn to express attitudes, agreement and disagreement and certainty using the following structures:Are you afraid that. . . ? I (don’t)think. . . In my opinion, . . . I (don’t)think so, I (don’t)agree, I believe. . . , I’m afraid not, Exactly, That’s correct, Of course not.
2)Ability objectives:
Through listening to the tape and making conversations in pairs and role-play in groups,students will be able to describe their friends and their feelings of friendship and be able to listen and understand the listening materials. write a letter to offer advice on friendship.Also their listening and speaking skills will be improved.
3)Emotional objectives:
By learning this lesson,students will realize that the friendship is important to them and they will build up a good value of friendship and d evelop and improve the students’ ability to help others solve such problems as how to communicate with people, how to make and be good friends, and so on.
2.Teaching key points and difficult points
1)key points:
More than 90% students can master the new words,like add up,upset,ignore,calm...down, have got to,be concerned about,walking the dog , get loose and so on.Through listening and conversations ,the students can d evelop the students’ listening ability, especially listening to and understanding key words and speakers’ intention and attitude. 2)Difficult points:
Through listening to the tape and making conversations in pairs and role-play in groups,students will be able to describe their friends and their feelings of friendship.Also their listening and speaking skills will be improved.By learning this lesson,students will realize that the friendship is important to them and they will build up a good value of friendship.
3.Teaching methods:
I will adopt situational teaching method and task-based teaching method to stimulate students’ interest and potential.
4.Teaching aids:
Blackboard,multimedia and tape recorder.
5.Teaching procedures:
Step1.Lead-in(2’)
I will play a video which called 《Tiny Times 》,and then lead the students to talk about their friends.Ask them if they have meet any problems in friendship.
Step2.Presentation(25’)
Task 1:Teachers show the students some new words or phrases and then illustrate them.the words like:add up,be upset about,ignore,calm...down,have got to,be concerned about,get loose,walking the dog,get along with,fall in love,exactly,I’m afraid not.
Task 2:Ask the students to listen to the tape and think about a question .
Q:Predict what Miss Wang will say.
Task 3:Listen to the tape and try to spell the words as you can hear their pronunciation.Then divide each of the sentence into several sense groups.
1.There is nothing wrong with you and this boy ________friends and ________together.
2.________your friendship with this boy would be a ________thing to do.
3.Teenagers like to ________,and they often see something that isn’t real.
