Teaching Aims and Demands

1. Master the verb tenses and voices.

2. Master the usage of subjunctive mood.

3. Master the Non-predicate verb (infinitive, participle, gerund), Modal verb.

Teaching Steps:

I. Review verb tenses and voice, the usage of subjunctive mood.

动词时态& 语态

虚拟语气（if, should+v,时态前移（一般过去时））if

If 省略，助动词提到主语前

1. If I were you, I would give him a lesson.

2. If he were here, the problem could be solved.

3. Had it not been for your help, we'd never have been able to get over the difficulties. (如果没有你们的帮助,我们绝不可能克服这些困难.)

4.If the doctor had been available, the child could not have died.

5.Should he come early, tell him to wait for his wife.

Should + v

1.suggest

2.it is important that (主语从句)

3.in case, lest…

1. The doctor suggested that he not go there.

2. It is of the utmost importance that you be here on time.

3 . It is highly desirable that a new principal (should) be appointed for this school.

4. Give me your telephone number in case I need your help.

(把你的电话号码给我,以防需要你帮助时,找不到你.)

5.The mad man was put in the soft-padded cell lest he injure himself.

(把疯子关进一间四处装有软垫的小屋里，以免他伤了自己.)

对现在情况虚拟：一般过去时对过去情况虚拟：过去完成时

1. I wish I had learned more things at college.

(要是上大学的时候多学点东西就好了.)

2. I wish I could have slept longer this morning, but I had to get up and come to class.

3．If only I had followed your advice.

(要是当时听你的就好了。)

4. If only the committee would approve the regulations and put them into effect as soon as possible. 要是委

员会能通过这些制度并尽快使他们付于实施该多好呀!

5．I'd rather you didn't take those important documents with you.

6．You talk about France as if you had really been there.

(你谈起法国来就好像你真去过似的.)

7. It's time something was done about the traffic problem downtown.

(该是治理市区交通问题的时候了。)

非谓语动词

动词不定式

1．It took him several months to tame the wild horse.（主语）

2．To be frank, it is a great relief to have the task fulfilled in so short a time.（插入语，主语）

3．To do two things at a time is to do neither.（主语，表语）

4．I found it impossible to answer all the questions within the time given.（宾语）

5. 不带to 的不定式（宾语补足语）

have /make /let sb. do sth.

see / watch /notice/observe/feel/ listen to/ hear + do /doing

She was seen to go into the house.

She was caught stealing the car

6．He was said to have met the president. 主语补足语
