My favorite TV program

My favorite TV program is Animal World; it is a program about animals. I watch it at 7:00 every evening, it tells us a lot about animals' life and it also tells something about their living habits, eating habits and living environment. I think it is the most interesting TV program in China, because I love animals so much, it can help me increase my knowledge, I can learn a lot of knowledge that i can't learn from books, it also help me Borden my horizon and know the natural surroundings. Animal World is a good TV program; I hope that everybody likes it.

My Opinion on Electronic Dictionary

Nowadays, more and more students have been using electronic dictionaries instead of paper dictionaries to look up new words, which arouse debate among society. Are electronic dictionar ies helpful or harmful to students’ English study? Let’s have a look at its advantages and disadv antages before arriving at a conclusion.

The biggest advantage of electronic dictionaries is convenience. Electronic dictionaries are p ortable, compact and light. You can put one in your pocket and when you come across some ne w words, you can look them up quickly. Moreover, with the development of technology, electr onic dictionaries are advanced. Most electronic dictionaries contain several different dictionari es, including general and specialized ones. They can be monolingual, bilingual and multilingua l. On top of that, electronic dictionaries come up with a range of additional features such as the sauruses, encyclopedias, business resources, grammar reference, word games, pronunciation an d calculation. Last but not the least, the price of electronic dictionaries is getting lower and low er, and most students can afford them.

However, the disadvantages are obvious. First, the electronic dictionaries are fragile and nee d batteries. With so many extra buttons, they may be too complicated to use. Second, some stu dents rely too much on the electronic dictionary – they never put their heart into learning new words and expressions.

As far as I’m Concerned, the advantages of electronic dictionaries outweigh the advantages. Electronic dictionaries are not beneficial or harmful themselves. The key lies in the user. As lo ng as we can make proper use of it, it can be helpful to us in many aspects.
