第五课时(Checkout time & Ticking time)
教学过程
一、学习目标
1.能够说出城市中一些地方的名字,如hospital, bookshop, zoo等;
2.能够运用句型:A: How do I get to...? B: Go along... Turn left/right at the traffic lights. Then walk along... You can see...on your left/right.进行问路与指路,尝试在日常生活中使用英语;
3.掌握字母组合sh的发音。

二、学习过程
Step 1 Show the learning content
呈现Checkout time & Ticking time教材图片,了解本课时学习内容。

【设计意图:通过看教材图片了解本课时学习内容,做好预习工作。


Step 2 Presentation
1.Let’s review
T: Can you name some places in the city?
T: Do you still remember other places in our city we learned before?
【设计意图:复习本单元重点词汇,鼓励学生回忆学过的地点名称还有哪些,调动学生已有知识,加强记忆并利于学生后续口语交流的流畅程度。


2.Self-evaluation
T: Boys and girls, how many stars you can get in this part? Tick it.
【设计意图:学生根据自身掌握情况进行自评,了解自身学习情况并记录,便于日后复习查漏补缺。


3.Let’s review
T: Boys and girls, do you know how to ask the way?
T: How about giving the way? What sentences can we use to give the way?
【设计意图:经过前4个课时的学习,学生熟练掌握问路及指路的重点句型,此处只做简单回忆,便于Checkout time的Point and say环节学生能够问答自
如。


4.Point and say
a.Look and say
T: Here is a game called Point and say. And here is a question ‘How do you get to
these places from your school?’ and the map on Page 34 can help us to answer the
question. Let’s look at the map first. What can you see in the map?
【设计意图:帮助学生理解题意,并且引导学生学会看地图。

熟悉地图后,
可帮助学生更好地表述。


b.Point and say
T: If I was Wang Bing and you were Nancy, can you give me the way? First,
please use you finger to point the way. Then try to give me the way by using the
sentence structures we reviewed just now.
T: How do I get to the cinema/ hospital/ library/ zoo/ park?
Ss: Walk along ... Then, turn ... at ... The ... is on your ...
【设计意图:创设情境,让学生在语境中使用英语,提高学生综合语用能力。

鼓励学生先指后说,并给出提示,降低难度,消除学生畏难情绪。

同时PPT动
态呈现路线图,帮助部分学生正确区分左右转。

逐个讲解,旨在帮助优生强化,
帮助学困生理解并会使用基本句型。

此题无固定标准答案,表述清楚即可。


5.Draw and write
I live on ___________ Street.
It is near _________________.
I come to school ____________________.
First, I ____________________________.
Then, I ___________________________
__________________________________.
【设计意图:前三句话是Unit2的知识点,并且在Unit2 Checkout time也作了很好的铺垫,难度不大。

学生上学路径的描述是难点,故而分步处理。

先让学生回顾路径,并在书上画出出行路线简易图,尝试说一说,最后再落笔写。

为了更好地帮助学生完成练习,教师先进行演示。


6.Self-evaluation

【设计意图:学生根据自身掌握情况进行自评,了解自身学习情况并记录,便于日后复习查漏补缺。


7.Review the sound of “sh”
T: Do you remember the sound of “sh”? It sounds like /ʃ/. Now, let’s read the words of “sh” and the chant together.
T: Can you give me some examples about /ʃ/?
【设计意图:巩固字母组合sh的发音/ʃ/,并回忆旧知。

同时,带领学生们感受语音部分chant的韵律美。

Step 3 Have a summary
1. Name some places in the city.(尝试说出城市里一些地方的名字。


2. How to ask the way?(如何问路?)
How can I get to...?
3. How to give the way?(如何指路?)
Walk along.../ Turn left/ right.../ Get on the bus at ...
4.Say some words with 'sh'(说出一些含有‘sh’的单词。


Step 4 Homework
Must do:
1. Do the exercises.(完成本课时的自主学习任务单。

2. Try to finish the short passage of Draw and write.

Choose to do:
1. Talk with your parents about their way to work. Try to write some sentences to show their way to work.
