Teaching aims:

1.复习巩固Story time

2.能听懂会说会读单词:cinema, supermarket, hospital, zoo等

3.能理解并正确运用有关问路和指路的交际用语。

Teaching procedure:

Step1 Warming up

1.Free talk

T: Hello…What day is it today?

S1: It’s …

T: How do you come to school today?

S1: I come to school …

T: That’s great! What about you?

S2: I come to school …

T: It sounds good! How does Yang Ling go to Su Hai’s new home?

S3: She takes the metro.

T: Can she find her home at first?

S4: No, she can’t.

T: Yes. So she asks the way. Now read the title, please.

First, look at the learning goals quickly. Are you ready? Try your best!

2. Play a game: Quick response

T: Do you like games? Let’s play! Look at the game rules. Are you ready?

Ss say the words or phrases quickly.

T: Well done!

3.Let’s act.

T: Boys and girls, do you still remember Story time? Can you act it out? Work in pairs. Choose one picture and try to act it out.

4.Let’s retell.

T: Now, boys and girls. How does Yang Ling get to Su Hai’s home? Can you retell? Let’s say it together.

Fun time

T: Su Hai wants to show Yang Ling around the places near her home. There are many places in the city. What are they?

Ss say the places in the city.

T: Yang Ling wants to get to the supermarket. How to ask and tell the way?

Ss work in pairs and do the exercise.

T: Clap your hands.

T: If Yang Ling wants to get to the other places, how to ask and tell the way?

Ss choose one place and work in pairs.

Step3 Production

Think and guess. Where are we now?

T: Yang Ling has a good time in the city. So do you want to visit it with your friends? Let’s play a guessing game. Look at the game rules. Work in four, choose a place and tell the way one by one. The other students guess the place.
