Directions (spatial relations)

1.Rest room

Where would you like to go?

Follow these directions:

Go out of the (front) door of the hotel, go west on high street, go to the end of the block (go to the corner), turn right and cross the street, take a left (turn left), cross 1st avenue, turn right, go about half a block, there’ll be on your left, there are public rest rooms in the park.

2.Police station

Go out the front door of the hotel, go west on high street, go straight through the intersection. It’s the 2nd building on the left.

There is a police station on high street, one block west of the hotel.

3.Hospital

Go out the front door of the hotel, turn left, go straight through the intersection. It’ll be on the corner when you get to the other side.

The hospital is one block west of the hotel on the same side of the street.

4.Parking lot

Go out the door, go left (take a left, turn left), cross the street (go straight through the intersection/when you come to the traffic light, keep on going), go left (turn left), it’ll be on your right in the middle of the block.

There is a parking lot on 1st avenue, south of the hospital.

5.Gas station

Go out the door (go out the front door of the hotel), turn left, (go left), cross the street (when you come to the traffic light, keep on going), go south, it’s directly across from a travel agency.

The gas station is across the street from a travel agency.

6.University

Go out the door, go left, make a right at the traffic signal, cross high street, go north, go about half a block, i t’ll be on your right.

The university is north of the hotel, behind the museum.

7.Café

Go out the front door of the hotel, turn left, turn right and cross the street, It’ll be on the corner when you get to the other side.

The café is on the same block as the hotel, but on the opposite side of the street.

8.Art museum

Go out the door, turn right, make a left at the traffic light, cross high street, take a left,

It’ll be on the on the right on the middle of the block, the art museum is directly across from the hotel.

9.Movie theatre

Go out the door, turn right, go to the corner (go to the end of the block), turn left and cross the street. It’s on the corner if you cross the street. (it’s right on the corner ).

The movie theater is on the other side of the street from the hotel.

10.Bank

Go out the front door of the hotel, take a left, it’s right next door. (it’s next door on the left ).

The bank is right next door to the hotel.

11.Post office

Go out the door, go left, make a left at the traffic light, it’ll be on yo ur left in the middle of the block.

The post office is round the corner from the hotel.

12.Travel agency

Go out the front door of the hotel, turn left, turn left at the corner, go south, go past the post office. It’ll be on your left.

There is a travel agency on 1st avenue.

13.Restaurant

Go out the door, turn right, it’s right next door.

The restaurant is on the corner next to the hotel.

14.Department store

Go out the door, turn right, go right at the corner, go about half a block, it’ll be on your right.

The department store is on 2nd avenue around the corner from the hotel.

15.Gas station

Go out the front door of the hotel; turn right, when you come to the traffic light, keep on going. It’ll be on the corner when you get to the other side.

The gas station is east of the hotel, on the other side of the 2nd avenue.

16.Book store

Go out the door, turn right, cross 2nd avenue, turn right, go south. It’ll be on your left in the middle of the block. The book store on 2nd avenue is between a gas station and a drug store.
