甲板部船员工作及工作职责
Work on board of a vessel is very different from any other shore based jobs. Each crew member has a precise rank and carries certain responsibilities in order to maintain the vessel operation successful.
船上的工作和其他陆地工作大不相同在船上，每一位船员都有严格的等级，承担特定的责任，这都是为了保证航行顺利安全。

船上的任职人员通常可分为四类：
甲板部工作人员机舱部工作人员事物部工作人员其他人员
O n a merchant vessel, the deck crew, apart from the Captain who is in overall command, usually consists of the chief officer, the second officer, the third officer, the bosun, able seamen, ordinary seamen and cadets.
在商船里，甲板部工作人员除了船上的总指挥船长外，通常由大副、二副、三副，水手长、一水、二水以及实习生组成。

甲板部高级船员的具体岗位职责
大副Chief Officer
The Chief Officer is the head of the deck department on a merchant vessel, second-in-command after the Captain.
大副是商船甲板部的负责人，在船长的领导下负责甲板部工作。

The Chief Officer typically undertakes bridge watch-keeping from 4-8 in the morning and in the afternoon. Acting as the leader of the deck department, the Chief Officer mainly engages in the cargo affairs, including cargo loading, unloading, stowage, and so on. Where there are dangerous cargos, the chief officer needs to pay special attention to their nature, stowage location, their compatibility, special measures to be taken, etc.
大副负责驾驶台值班，时间为凌晨4点到8点及下午4点到8点。

作为甲板部主要负责人，大副主管船舶货物业务，包括货物装载、卸载和配载等。

装运危险品时，大副要特别注意货物属性、装载位置、兼容性，可采取的应急措施等。

Besides the cargo operation, the chief officer is in charge of the administration task of scheduling and distributing work to deck crew.
大副还具有管理职责，负责计划和分配甲板部船员的工作。

Additionally, the correct working of the hull, the accommodation section, the cargo gearing, the security appliances and the fire prevention equipment are managed by the Chief Officer.除此以外，船体生活区、装卸设备、保安设备、防火设备的正常工作都是大副的负责范围。

Last but not least, the Chief Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of the ship work place and ship equipment, as well as the welfare of the crew and passengers on board.
最后，大副要保证甲板部工作场所和船上设备的安全，大副还要负责船员及乘客的人身安全。

二副Second Officer
The Second Officer is in charge of the standard 12-4 navigation watch. The Second Officer is the third most experienced deck department officer after the Captain and the Chief Officer. The primary duty of the Second Officer is navigational, which includes updating charts and publications, keeping them current, making passage plans, and all aspects of ship navigation.
二副的驾驶台值班时间为凌晨12点到4点及中午12点到4点。

二副是甲板部甲板部经验丰富的工作人员，在船长和大副的指挥下工作。

二副的主要承担航行职责。

其工作包括更新海图和图书资料、及时更新，制定航行计划、做与航行有关的各方面工作等。

T he Second Officer is responsible for the bridge equipment and instruments, including gyrocompasses, radar, ECDIS, GMDSS, VHF and so on.
二副还主管驾驶台设备和仪器，包括磁罗经、电磁罗经、雷达、电子海图、全球海上遇险与安全系统、甚高频等。

Working as the designated communications officer, the Second Officer is responsible for the maintenance of communication equipment, instruments and spare parts on board.
作为船舶的无线电员，二副还负责船舶通讯设备、仪器及零配件的养护工作。

The Second officer’s other duties may include stocks of the stationery, medical duty and other duties designated by the Captain or the Chief Officer.
除此之外，二副还要掌管各种文件报表、执行一般医疗工作以及完成船长和大副交办的其他工作。

三副Third Officer
The Third Officer handles the standard 8-12 watch duty. The third officer usually assists the Chief Officer in supervising cargo handling operation and the Captain on the bridge with anchoring, mooring and unmooring work.
三副的驾驶台值班时间是从早上8点到12点以及晚上8点到12点。

三副的岗位职责包括协助大副监督货物的装卸、协助船长完成锚泊和靠离泊作业。

The Third Officer is in charge of the management and maintenance of all life-saving appliances and fire-fighting equipment on board. Apart from that, the third officer is also responsible for the maintenance log and inventory books, preparation of records, and doing some work and other jobs assigned by the Captain.
三副负责管理和保养船上各种救生设备和消防设备。

除此之外，三副还负责记录保存航海日志和存货清单，负责各种工作记录船舶文书工作，以及完成船长交办的其他工作等。

甲板部普通船员的岗位职责
水手长Boatswain /Bosun
The bosun works under the Chief Officer and assists the Chief Officer in performing various duty of the Deck Department.
水手长是在大副的领导下协助大副完成甲板部的工作。

The bosun’s major responsibilities include arranging for the jobs for the ratings, supervising their work, and making sure that everything all over the decks is in order.
水手长的主要职责包括为普通船员安排工作，监督他们工作并保证甲板部一切工作正常有序。

The bosun carries out the maintenance of hull, deck machinery, equipment, cargo gears, etc. and handles the management and inventory of deck stores and bosun stores. The bosun is also responsible for the hygiene in the vessel and follows the instructions from the Chief Officer or the master.
水手长负责船体、甲板设备、起货设备等的养护工作，还要负责管理和存储甲板各种物料以及水手物料。

水手长还要负责船舶的清洁和卫生工作，并且要按大副或船长的指挥工作。

一水Able seaman
An Able seaman works under the Bosun, completing tasks such as working mooring lines, operating deck gear, standing anchor details, and working cargoes. The AB also stands a navigational watch, generally as a lookout or helmsman.
一水在水手长的指挥下参加靠离泊缆绳作业、操作甲板设备、值锚更，装卸货等工作。

一水还要参加驾驶台值班，不过一般是作为瞭望人员和舵手。

二水Ordinary seaman
Ordinary seaman belongs to the lowest ranking personnel in the deck department. An OS generally helps out with work the Able seamen are doing. An OS is usually busy with tasks such as buffing, scaling, cleaning the deck and occasionally painting the superstructure, above the main deck.
二水属于甲板部最基层工作人员。

二水一般协助一水工作。

二水工作职责比较繁杂，从事除锈、清洁甲板，有时包括上层建筑的刷漆工作，其工作区域在主甲板以上。

An ordinary seaman can undertake activities like overhauling, splicing ropes, rigging, etc. and conducting repair-work on the deck.
二水的工作还包括船舶大修、插接缆绳、检查索具甲板维修等。

甲板实习生Deck Cadet
The role of a deck cadet is quite important on ships as he can be assistance to all the officers. He is basically new to the ship and is on ships for the training purpose. Prior joining he has to undergo several courses to avoid disasters and accidents on the vessel, along with knowledge on firefighting equipment, first aid and other security measures.
甲板实习生的职责也很重要，他可以协助船员的工作。

实习生是船上的新手，他们商船是为了参加培训。

在参加培训之前，实习生通常要参加一系列课程，学习如何避免海上灾难和事故以及学习有关消防设备，求生设备以及其它与安全相关的课程。

A newly appointed Deck Cadet needs to report to the Chief Officer of the ship, from time to time. A Cadet must observe and lend a helping hand, and try to gain as much of knowledge as possible.
新任实习生通常要受大副的领导按时向大副汇报情况。

实习生需要协助驾驶台值班瞭望，尽快掌握船舶驾驶等相关知识。
