概念及分类
• 概念：指句子用作状语时，起副词作用的句子。 • 分类：
• 时间状语从句 • 条件状语从句 • 原因状语从句 • 地点状语从句 • 让步状语从句 • 比较状语从句 • 结果状语从句 • 目的状语从句 • 方式状语从句
状语从句有九种 时地原因条状补 目比结果方让步 连词引导各不同 主句通常前面走 连词引导紧随后 从句若在主前头 主从之间有个逗
little是“小的”意思除外。 同义句转换 The girl is so young that she can't go to school. = The girl is too young to go to school. = The girl is not old enough to go to school.
until V.S not...until
until表示的意思是"做某事直至某时"， 动词必须是延续性的;
not...until表达的意思是"直至某时才做某事", 动词为延续性或非延续性都可以。
I'll wait until the rain stops. I won't leave until the rain stops.
原因状语从句 He distrusted me because I was new. As all the seats were full he stood up. Since we’ve no money,we can’t buy it.
目的状语从句
You wk.baidu.comust speak louder in order that you can be heard by all. I got up early so that I could catch the first bus.
not...until和...after...的句型转换
I knew nothing about that until you told me. =I knew something about that after you told me.
结果状语从句
He was so angry that he couldn't speak. There was such a lot of rain (that) we couldn't go out.

主将从现
when V.S while
when “当...时” + 瞬v. \ 延v. He was working at the table when I went in. When I was young, I liked dancing.
while “与...同时” “在...期间”+ 延v. They rushed in while we were discussing problems. Father was cleaning the car while I was playing computer games.
when连接的主从动作可先后发生也可同时发生， while强调主从同时发生，通常为过去进行时。
when有 “突然”之意 I was having my dinner when there was a sudden knock at the door. while作为并列连词，意为“而，却”；表对比关系 Tom is strong while his younger brother is weak.

主祈从现
if 引导条件状语从句时为“如果”， if表达为“是否”时引导宾语从句，后面一般为将来时。
时间状语从句
I will tell you after they leave. He dropped the glass as he stood up. I’d better have a think before I decide. We have known each other since we were children. He waited until she was about to leave. Shut the door when you go out. Stand still while I take your photograph.
让步状语从句
Although they are poor, they are happy. Though they may not succeed, they will still try. He is better, though not yet cured. Even though it was raining, she walked to work.
条件状语从句
If we pay much attention to the earth, we'll have a better world.
You will fail in English unless you work hard. As long as you're happy, I will be happy.
只能用so的情况 There are so many people on the bus that we must stand. 当名词前有表示数量的many, much, (a) little, (a) few等表数量的词 修饰时，只能用so.
They are s×o little sheep that we all like them.
although和though用正常语序，可与yet, still 连用，但不可和but 连用。
地点状语从句
The church was built where there had once been a Roman temple. Where there is a will, there is a way. The Red Cross is expected to send help wherever there is human suffering.
