定冠词the的用法

定冠词the的用法

冠词是虚词，主要放在名词前，说明名词所表示的人或物，不能离开名词而单独存在。冠词分为不定冠词a/an；定冠词the。一下是定冠词the的几种用法。

1、表示双方都知道的人或者事物。如：

How about the charity show? 慈善义演进行得怎么样？

I think she should get the job. 我认为她应该得到那份工作。

2、表示特指的或者上文已经提到过的人或事物。如：

Last year we went to see an old people, the old people was very healthy.

Do you know the girl in yellow skirt?

I really like the book you lent me yesterday.

3、表示世界上独一无二的事物。如：

The moon reflects the sun. 月亮反射太阳的光。

As time goes on, we will know more about the earth. 随着时间的推移，我们将会更加了解地球。

4、用在序数词、形容词最高级前面。

The first lesson is the easiest to learn.

Li Lian said the best way to learn English was by reading English magazines. Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday in June.

5、用在姓氏的复数形式钱表示一家人，谓语动词要用复数。如：

The Greens are watching TV now.

The Browns had a good time in Paris.

6、用在一些专有名词前面。如：

The Great Wall 长城the Summer Palace 颐和园

7、西洋乐器前面要用定冠词the.如：the guitar; the piano; the violin.

8、用在形容词或名词化的形容词前，表示一类人或事物。如：

The wounded 受伤者the poor 穷人the rich 富人

The deaf 聋人the new 新事物the old 旧事物

9、用在方位名词前。

In the east 在东边on the left 在左边

From the behind 从后面to the right 从右边

10、用在两种表示比较的结构中：表示“越···就越···”；表示两者中“较···的一个”

The more careful you are , the fewer mistakes you’ll make. 你越认真，犯的错误就越少。

There came two men , the elder is my grandfather, the younger is my brother. 那边过来两个男人，较年长的一个是我爷爷，较年轻的是我的哥哥。

11、用于“动词+sb+介词+the+身体部位”结构中。如：

A stone hit him in the face while walking in the garden. 当他在花园散步时，一个石头砸到他的脸。

The policeman caught the thief by the arm..

为方便学生记忆，编制一下顺口溜：

双方皆知及特指；上文提到世独一。

序数词前最高级；西器复姓年代前；形容词或分词前。

越来越冷要用the, 两者相比较年轻。
